£90m RW on the bench, £37m RW on the bench, £75m RW out on loan and we end up starting a youngster in that position. Just about sums up the mismanagement of the club.

In amongst whatever changes are ongoing at the club, must be a change of manager. The incumbent isn't taking us anywhere. Sometimes it's hard to discern the coaching at all. A couple times towards the end of that game, we got to the Fulham box and didn't seem to have a clue what to do. Not like it wasn't coming off, players literally looked lost, and inevitably lost the ball. Shocking performance today.

We got exactly what we deserved. Such a lame performance from the kickoff. Bad tactically and even worse technically. How many just bad passes were there that either went harmlessly out of play or that created one of the many breakaways?

Yes, the injuries are ill timed. I believe Fulham were salivating at the opportunity to have Rashford up front as they don't see him as nearly the threat Hojlund would've been. Lindelof just should not be put in that position...especially when you could've put Kambwala on the right and moved Dalot over. That might've been Varane's worst game in a United shirt. He was nowhere almost the entire time. He watched the ball roll past him through the box on at least a few occasions. And when he did have the ball at his feet, he struggled to make even a simple pass. I would've felt much more comfortable with Evans back there after that display.

Seeing that display certainly does not give me a heck of a lot of confidence going into the games this week. Feels like we're going to get knocked out of the FA Cup and murdered by City.

Safe to say this will be our worst ever season for League defeats. Fully deserved that today and don't forget Bournemouth,Palace,Brighton all chasing doubles against us too.

Definitely but if we're honest even with missing a few players we should still be beating Fulham at home. Or at least look like a half decent football team if we do somehow lose.
Yes we should. There was no cohesion in that side, and seemingly no plan. The squad is as thin as a cigarette paper which doesn't help. The season is pretty much a write off except for maybe a good FA Cup run.

Really poor. I'd say except for that 25-45th minute period and perhaps 10-15 minutes towards the end, we were awful. So slow in the build-up, huge amount of misplaced passes, Fulham going through us and creating shots and chances far too easily... It's Fulham without Palhinha who is really important player for them so that makes it look even worse for us. In a way I was glad when Iwobi scored the winner for them as I don't think we deserved even a draw given how players performed for most part of both halves.

It's a defeat against Fulham side that only won away once in PL this season before today (at Everton in Matchday 1) and a side that's been poor since the start of 2024. They only won once before today at Old Trafford in PL era and that was in 2003.

It's a loss that basically takes us out of top 4 race and even 5th place becomes a CL place we won't finish there before Spurs.

Forest away in Fa Cup in 4 days. Lose that and our season is more or less over. I'd watch the rest of it probably only to see Mainoo, Garnacho, Hojlund play and Mount as well as his United career hasn't really started yet.

Losing at home to Fulham is bad enough but losing to an Iwobi goal is unforgivable.

Too many injuries to cope with
Still have better players than Fulham. There is absolutely no excuse for the way we played today. Liverpool also have a lot of injuries and also important players to them, but they are top of the league.

It is not even about winning anymore, we are just outplayed by every team now and then Ten Hag says after the game we show personality and character. He just don’t know what that is.

That was as bad as I have ever seen United play at Old Trafford. Absolutely no urgency, unable to string passes together, for the first 85 minutes. Then stepped it up to get an equaliser, and with the crowd behind then, finally showed some desire to get a winner.

Then enter our brain dead captain. Having failed to concede late on last week, by cheaply giving the ball away, he slashes a pass to Lindelof, who put it out for a throw rather than a goal kick. This time, Fulham broke away for a deserved late winner.

For me, our supposed main men of Ten Hag, Fernandes and Rashford all have to go in the summer. The manager for inept team selections, tactics and substitutions. Amad was our best player on the pitch for the last 20 minutes he was on for. Why not start him instead of Rashford or Forson? The captain for a complete lack of composure. The poster boy for a complete lack of effort, as usual.

He had 2-3 shots in 1st half and didn't make most of them. 2nd one was really good position and he didn't even shoot on target, luckily for us. We gave him another chance and finally he took that one. I was happy in a way.

That was shocking today , the lack of movement in our side is unbelievable, we just look so lethargic or lazy , getting fed up of teams coming to Old Trafford and running rings round us . What the hell we’re doing with all this time we’ve got now on the training pitch , all the good things today , and they were few and far between, came from the young lads .

Our record with Michael Oliver as the referee is a disgrace. Have we ever won?

How was he today? Did he favour Fulham with absolutely every decision or were we just shit?

A draw and at least United stay unbeaten in 2024...we don't have much to feel positive about and now its back to square one and feeling crappy again.

This bloody team.

Nah, nothing on the ref. He should have sent off Maguire in the first half and didn't. All down to the coach and players, no excuses. Disgusting performance.

Been so busy today I know absolutely nothing other than we lost. Was it bad? Deserved? Unlucky?

Thoroughly abject. Wasn't really even a smash and grab job from Fulham despite them needing a last minute winner.

If we play like this against City, it'll be another 6+ goal hiding,

Absence of Hojlund was very noticeable. We lacked teeth today.

I'm feeling several things. Losing at home to Fulham is poor. Conceding at home to Fulham or going behind should be seen as unacceptable. That's the level the club should be at. It's just become far too normal for this club to lose games. It's become even more normal for this club and team to put in poor performance after poor performance. It's gone on for far too long.

The amount of teams that we come up against that seem to be better managed and/or play better football than us is staggering. Genuinely struggling to think of many teams we have played against this season where we have looked the better managed, better coached, and have played the better football. The results come second to all of those things. If all of those aspects are better, the results will come. We don't put ourselves in the best position to win games because we just look like an utter clusterfeck of a mess.

That was difficult to observe. I think bar maybe a 20 second spell they dominated the first half from start to finish. Second have a slight improvement in very very limited spells, but really poor.

Is there really no better way to go than play Lindelof at left back? Our backline was unable to progress the ball at all and we already sat deep. Invited pressure and gaping holes all over the park. Rashford with his lack of work ethic, Bruno a non-entity, really ticked all the shite boxes today.

Would it not be better to go with Dalot at left back? I know it's a shite idea but I'd rather gamble on Antony at left back to at least stand some chance of playing the ball out and preserving some balance. He won't have any of the smarts needed from a full back but I doubt we'd invite so much pressure collectively as we did today.

It may have been because I've had a splitting headache all day and this awful cold, but I actually fell asleep in the second half. It may of course, also have been because we were so fecking dull

Woke up after our goal because of the noise of the fans, only to see the sucker punch

Liverpool haven't fallen apart with all their injuries, and will probably win tomorrow's cup final.

Whoever decided we would be fine this season with just Rasmus and the injury prone Tony as striker, and continue this view through the January transfer window, should be sacked. You cannot rely on Tony, ever, it was always clear if Rasmus got injured we'd be up the creek without a paddle, as even if Tony was available at the start, he'd quickly get injured

It is unacceptable to be without a striker.

I am not saying this is the only reason, just one of the many many baffling decisions we've made in recent years.

I have no faith in ETH to be the one to take us back to the top

That's the only positive from here on in.

Either we have a real surge of form to hit top 5 and he stays. Or we at least have the hope a new manager can get things going better.
The way we should be looking at it now is, director of football decides what style we want to play and go for a new manager to fit that style. If they don’t get us playing well soon, just go for another one to fit the style. We can’t be waiting around for another two years wondering if the new manager will grow into it.
Postecoglu got spurs playing overnight.

Not to mention the left back situation

To be fair, the issue comes back to crazy expenditure under Woodward and then plied on by Mirrouh and others. Add that to what we see consistently as poor coaching given the structure we play, it’s obvious that it’s time for big changes.

The playing roster needs a clean up and unfortunately there is a need for an experienced manager and coaching staff to compete in the EPL. A club as big as Man Utd cannot continue down the path of the last 10 years, even the Yankee shopping centre owners appear to knowledge this.
