feck all exertion, 2 goal advantage to take into the next leg. Don't think anyone broke out of a light jog. Would have been nice to get a third but nobody's going to feel tired on Sunday after that.
This. They were in second gear all match.

Typical performance of this season : we battered the opposition, created countless chances but our finishing is not as good as the actual performance.

Should have been 4-0. As it is, 2 should be enough, if we score in 2nd leg, we basically guaranteed of another final!

Jose did very well on team selection and rotation. Valencia Herrera, Pogba and Mhkitariyan were busy, though mhki finishing was wasteful.
Rashford and Rooney were in effective but that's OK.

Going into crucial game with Liverpool in very good shape!!!

Job well on its way to being done. Should have been out of sight after 20 minutes then got sucked in to a bit of an arm wrestle for the rest of the half. Poor second half from us but we bagged two goals.

All in all good to get through the game with a good win and minimum injuries/fatigue.

First impessions Herrera motm. Rashford still not good enough to lead the line on his own. In fact no one seemed to be on top form tonight. Think we needed a 2-0 at least. That should put the tie to bed. Its nice to keep winning when we dont play as well as we have been. Does Ibra gel the team better? I think so.

Hull revealing themselves as the main cause of the NHS' winter struggles there. That poor lad will be in A&E until 6am. Don't know if anyone else saw Fellaini smile and look up at the sky after he scored - Moyes was there, smiling down upon him. Has anyone still got that 'chosen one' banner? Could be worth hanging it back up at OT

Never really got going but good result, glad Fellaini scored as at 2-0 we can afford to play a much changed side in the next leg, especially since it comes just before we play City in the league

Was it a case of Hull were difficult to break down or that we changed our play a bit with liverpool in mind Sunday ?
Hull were set up defensively and we did well to break them down. Should be easier away as i expect them to attack us with a 2-0 deficit and that should play right into our hands.

Good:
We got the win, and a halfway decent score to take into the second leg.
Mata was decent
Clean sheet. Hull offered nothing going forward
9 wins in a row! For the first time since 2009!

Bad:
Again we're back to being poor without Carrick on the pitch
Boring, mediocre performance
Mkhi's finishing
Rashford, Rooney and Martial's performances

I'd take boring win against Hull in the cup semifinal with Liverpool on the weekend any day of the week.
Can't believe some people aren't happy about this

Good enough result, good run out for the team. Fellaini goal after Darmian assist, what to add. :)

9th in a row, unbeaten in 15.
In our last 15, we've won 12 and drawn 3, scoring 36 and conceding a mere 8. And with 7 clean sheets.

Job done. Should have been more. Plus we got £22m for Schneiderlin. Good night's work!

That Pogba free kick was literally identical to one he did earlier in the season. The ball even bounced off in the same direction iirc

Good to get a rubbish performance out of our system before the big one on Sunday.

Pole Postba has to sort out his differences with the woodwork. It's getting ridiculous.

Oh how times have changed. We've gone from 'boring performance' to 'boring win'. We're just bored of winning aren't we?
