Excellent.
Ole gets his first Liverpool win, and we finally show we can boot some goals against a bigger team.

For any of our fans who wanted to go out tonight, shame on you.
Excuse me, what?

Poor performance by Dean Henderson and McTominay. All the rest, including the subs, played a very good match. Pogba, Rashford, Shaw and Bruno excellent, Cavani and Greenwood very good

Shearer claims Liverpool played some "glorious stuff and had most of the ball".

Stats:

Man Utd: Possession 55% Shots on target 7 Shots off target 7.

Liverpool: Possession 45% Shots on target 6 Shots off target 5.

Hmmm. All this hyperbole about Liverpool and playing great stuff is dated. They don't look a special side anymore and their football is actually fairly dire.
Where did you pull this from? BBC has it as Utd 42% - Pool 58%.

If we can keep position better and start scoring from corners we would have ripped them apart. Life is good as a United fan at the moment!!!!

Always good to beat Liverpool, but should have been a much more comfortable scoreline. Really need to get the defensive lapses sorted out.

The reluctance of refs to give opposition players deserved cards is starting to get ridiculous.

Excellent game to watch. I’m very happy with the work rate of the team as a whole. It doesn’t get much better than beating Liverpool...

Great game and very thankful that we didn't have to play another 30 minutes, especially having subbed Bruno on.

Possession you have put is wrong we had 42% they had 58% same as shots the shots were equal. It is on the right side of this thread.

Happy with that. Feel like we should have scored more. Just getting popcorn then off to the RAWK thread

What a game. That’s the sweetest win of the season. Should’ve beat them at Anfield and deservedly won today, and we’ve still got a few yet to hit top form. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this team.

Far far better than at Anfield. There were a fair few periods that we were the better side, which even though we had better chances at didn’t really happen much at Anfield. Rashford looked very good. Cavani has an amazing chance to make it 4-2 but hits the post. A very good performance.
Good to hear that. Now I think it gives belief. We now know that we can beat anyone. I hope the Board gives Ole the money to buy a couple of world class players.

Most happy about us being threatening without Bruno on the pitch.

Derpy mistakes in defence for the goals conceded but otherwise very satisfying performance.

Great game to watch as well.

Poor way to concede their 2nd goal, and we had a few dodgy moments whilst playing from the back. But we do look dangerous on the counter attack. Rashford played well, Cavani had a few neat touches, Pogba was excellent and Shaw was everywhere. Van De Beek had a quiet game, but hopefully it was down to rustiness. That Greenwood finish!
IMO that is a game we lose 2 years ago, from a mental standpoint a very good result and we finished the game well.

And frankly it's a win against Liverpool

All the ABU "not a free kick" horseshit makes this win 10 times better. We're back

The most important takeaway for me is we tired the shit out of them. The effect will be seen during the next match vs Spurs for sure. I bet at the max they are getting out of that game is a draw.

Has this just become a narrative now as it’s said after every game. He was very solid tonight, what could he have done for the goals or in general? Well played again Hendo.
