Really disappointed we could play that poorly after that start to the game. A win that doesn’t feel that good because that did not look like the performance of a team that has turned a corner. Going by the Villa game and this one, this run of results is not sustainable.

Agreed, unfortunately will see alot of people complaining but a wins a win in the end. Let's take it, 4 on the bounce. Deserved winners in the end here.
A pretty textbook good away performance in the second half really. Defence was solid and we created numerous chances. People are probably gonna be swayed by the relentless patronising bigging up of plucky little Luton from the commentators. As people usually are when it comes to being overly negative, but I they didn’t get much of a sniff in the second so I genuinely can’t see what there is to actually complain about aside from our terrible finishing

Absolute shambles of a performance

Cant wait until Bruno is out of this club, total fraud, cant stand him, 0/10 performance

Garnacho not much better today

Thank god for Hojlund and Mainoo

Lucky? It wasn't great from us no, but it wasnt really in real danger, they just shot and crossed from 25/30 yards out and funny enough that doesnt amount to anything very often

Shit game, shit finishing, lucky nope did enough to win

Terrible performance. If we get CL football and we keep the bald LvG, it will be the definition of Pyrrhic victory.

On the one hand, it is worry we are set up in such a way that the game is straight chaos against a not good team.

On the other, we should have scored 6 or 7 today. We missed sitter after sitter. So our manager could say he's set us up to create this simple chances, he can't put them in for us.

I don't know. Another win is great. Two more goals for our young striker. Mainoo is class.

First 15 minutes great
The rest of the first half garbage
Second half better but missed some easy chances
Garnacho needs to work on his finishing
Mainoo is amazing
Rashford looking better than he has all season.
Rasmussen did well fir the goals and his hold up play was very good in the second half
Overall a mix bag game and improvement definitely needed.

Good job we got those two goals so early. Such a poor performance. People talk about us being a top 4 contender but we have been very lucky to win some of the games we have recently. The tide will turn on this.

Some bright moments of course but so poor seeing this game out considering the first 15 mins. Casemiro, Bruno and Maguire atrocious. Mainoo was a real highlight though and good to see Hojlund with another goal.

A win is a win, I guess. Given the difficulty other teams have had going there I'm not too discouraged.

It's a good result. However, in the context of of the performance and how Luton set up, it's frustrating.

The problem for us is that the other 19 teams in the league work harder than us. We never seem to have it easy.

Well done United, hope you guys go on to qualify for UCL. We gave it our best but without Adebayo, was always going to be a struggle. Liverpool at Anfield next ffs. Hopefully the teams around us keep dropping points.

They dominated but we created far better chances.

Luton are a mental team at home when they play a big side. Arsenal and Liverpool both choked versus them.

I like the counter approach to them, as teams have tried to blow them away and got stuffed. All things considered it's a big 3 points against a very tricky away side, despite missing two or three one on ones. Will take it all day long

Relieved with the win. Hojlund keeps scoring. Mainoo is class. That's all the positives.

We have to accept that this is how it is going to be for the rest of the season. We don't have the manager or the players to improve our control in games. If one game a week cannot produce better performances then there is no excuse left. Hope Shaw recovers well.

Still plenty of pain points with this team but at least we're looking somewhat threatening recently, barring some horrendous finishing we should have had at least a couple more goals today, although we did rely a lot on counters when they were chasing the game to create those opportunities.

Genuinely thought that was pretty good in the end after a ropey last half an hour of the first half. Should’ve scored 3 more and Luton did feck all second half.
We had no control at any stage of the game. We had a lot of chances to kill them off on the counter but we lacked the cutting edge and just players missing their scoring boots today.
However the way we play in general is just awful on the eyes. A lot like how the old midtable PL team under Sam Allerdyce used to play. Long ball into a target man and hope he can control it to being others into play. Not even trying to build an attack.

Seems more and more clear now that Eth is not the man to take us forward if we aim to win the PL again.

Don’t like to do things the easy way, do we! Take that every day before the game, though. Same as most weeks, just need to get more control over games. Should’ve scored a few more today, too.

Thankfully another 3 pts though

This new team needs to be built around Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund.

bruno is a fecking idiot. He’s getting close to Rashford levels of inadequacy.

so many wasted balls in the first half.
better in possession in the second but wastes a glorious chance to finish it late. And to add to his terrible performance utterly brain dead firing the ball back to GK enabling a final onslaught that nearly saw us conceded

Big big win and we knew it was gonna be a grind. Much better second half despite the abysmal state of the squad. Could have be 2 or 3 more up and should have been. Luton never really tested Onana bar for 1 or two good chances. Need to keep the wins coming.

If that was a conscious decision to play on the counter after halfway through the first half, I really question the wisdom of it. Yes, we should've scored at least one on the counter, but one thing it does is allow the opponents to get back into the game. What's wrong with going full pelt and putting the pressure on Luton, not even giving them the idea that they can claw the game back?

At some points we will start scoring more consistently in these ping pong matches and win them more comfortably, right?

Not a stellar performance, but we were playing aganst 12 men. That ref acted like a lifelong Luton fan.

Evans was brilliant. Dalot was quiet
Garnacho was wasteful, and Fernandes useless.

hojlund the MOTm for me. 2 cracking goals and the Ball stuck to him

3 good points away from home where others have struggled too. Mainoo is quality. Hojland worked his backside off.
On another day they’d have scored at least five.

he was poor but what the hell was that shot in the stoppage time. Thick move
I just threw my hands up and laughed at the absolute idiocy of that move.

You’d think that a captain of United and international would have some footballing IQ and read the situation. No, apparently not. Instead they go up the other end and hit the bar.

Absolute shaft.

At the end of the day Hojlund is starting to find goalscoring form and we are getting results despite not looking that solid.

I'd say it's sort of progress from a few months back.

A great start to the game followed by the usual wobble when 2-0 up. The lack of control in the first half was alarming. That being said, the second half was far more composed and if it wasn’t for their keeper United could have been 3 or 4-1 up. Luton is a difficult place to go so I’m happy with the win.

If we have a player with some good decision making ability in place of Bruno, it would make a tremendous amount of difference to the number of goals we score. That last shot/cross straight to the keeper was Antony v Wolves level poor.

Liverpool, Arsenal and even City have struggled at Luton. This was always a tough game.

Having said that. Should've easily been 3-1, 4-1 to us and that 2nd half would've been nicer.

But, I felt we were pretty resolute in the 2nd half didn't give up many chances. Onana wasn't really tested and we we're pretty dangerous on the counter. Hard earned 3 points.
