Disjointed. Team didn't even try.
Replacing half of the squad won't fix this horse crap.

I think every fan here could have predicted how the game would go. No point getting angry if it was expected.

We need a massive clear out and drastic improvements in our gameplay in the summer.

Garbage. Only silver lining is it hurts the Scousers. We looked like a midtable side keeping pace with a better side, which is what we are. Liverpoolisation complete.

Our players are mediocre. They are not bad, but they are not among the best in their positions. That's all. City has better players. If we want to challenge them, we need 4-5 top players. But that costs a lot. Forget the academy, we need 4-5 top players who are about 25 years old, ready for the first team.

Also, Fred is the worst United player Ive ever seen. And Ive seen Büttner.

Solskjaer would look really cool with a beard I think. He looks too soft now. Do you think he is capable of growing a beard?

Really poor performance again.

Accepting running around and actually trying as a success.

DDG needs benching, city get away with murder as usual

No issue with the effort tonight , workrate wise they put in a big shift , maybe had we done likewise on Sunday we might have got something out of that one.

But the gulf in class between the clubs right now is just huge , even with their best player out injured they can sweep us aside at will. We are not in the same league as either City or Liverpool in terms of quality.

Regardless of how you wanted the game to go, this scoreline is as good as it was ever going to get.

Good effort. As if that is a compliment. Expected effort more like.

Dreadful execution. We could barely thread two passes together, totally outclassed by a City team who looked so comfortable in the second half it was a joke.

Last 10 games we must have had about 8 shots on target, such featherweight forward players, especially Lukaku who plays like a 13 year old weakling.

Actually surprised how much that result has gutted me. We just weren’t competitive at all, so easy in the second half for city. They ran out very comfortable winners in the end and it was well deserved.

We tried, but let’s face it that should be a minimum standard and it’s only the Everton game that’s skewed our expectations.

Some of the lads looked like they were playing drunk.

City were absolutely dominant second half, their midfield interceptions, movement and triangle passing was different class.

Meanwhile ours were Sunday league

Hopefully now we can concentrate on rebuilding

Take that Liverpool. Scouse cnuts

Apathy set in for me a while back but its the utter lack of basic principles of playing football that takes my breath away. I cannot see how our squad is PL quality let alone top 4!

It’s grim supporting us right now. We are so poor, so far behind the top sides it’s hard to stomach. No end in sight.

Too many people on here too worried about what Liverpool could do. We are Man Utd and we have so called supporters glad that City beat us.

Disgraceful!

If you can't support the team when they lose 2-0, don't come back to support after they lose 2-1

On to Chelsea I guess, can't say we deserve a shot at top 4 but there's still an outside chance so go all out these last 3 games.

I am very happy with how we played tonight. Nothing to be ashamed about. We have to rebuild. I look forward to this season is over. Its going to be a very exciting summer.

Abysmal. Feck this rabble of 25 or so individuals they call the Manchester United squad.

Feck the people who run it too. I’m not necessarily advocating the Saudis buy us but boy do we need owners who can grab the bull by the horns and really shake things up. We persist with players that let us down even back in the Sir Alex days 6 years on.

I've felt worse after derby defeats. That was pretty shit though even by our recently low standards.

Little bit of huff and puff but ultimately toothless
