There's no universe in which we get some points from game against City in this form, with this manager, with this striker.

Just another humiliation in a long list of them over recent years. There once was a time when a result like this was a genuine crisis. We are so used to these hammerings now that it almost feels like business as usual. I feel sorry for all reds who have to go into work tomorrow with blues. Utter s-t.

Haaland is going to win more than one Ballon D’or

We where humbled in the first half but at least demonstrated a bit of character in the second unlike the Brentford game.

They’ve got an absolute cheat code in Haaland- he’ll get 40+ this year easily in the league.

Midfield went to pieces in the first half unfortunately and that month between league games has killed every bit of momentum we had after the Arsenal game

Folks may scoff but I think making that score line less embarrassing was pretty important

They need to forget it now and it’s vital we beat Everton next Sunday

Cake or Death?
Had Casemiro started, we might have made a game out of it. Unlucky that Varane was off when Haaland scored on that corner.

Still, woeful passing from us in the first half.

Haaland class, annoyingly.

We did something here that we havent done in years, and that is to not lose hope and play till the last whistle.

We weren't showing up. No intensity, no fight unlike against Liverpool.

Only Antony, Martial, and Fred were decent. But by then the game was as good as done and City let us play.

Won the 2nd half, no red card and no other injuries (hopefully Varane was just precaution). Get in?

Honestly though I'm not too bothered by this. It's city and Pep and Haaland. They're the best side around, and have been for a while. Can do this to anyone on their day. We are in stage 1 of our process, they're at their peak, and have the best manager around, and we hope that Ten Hag can at least get somewhere close to eventually compete with this level. It's a big difference. During the process, hammerings will inevitably happen and even later on shit like this can happen on a bad day. Important to bounce back asap though.

Just play your best players, Erik. Work from there. Mentally weak. Nothing new there.

We've got three - on paper - much easier games coming up. But lost Varane, which is huge not just with regards to the drop in level on the bench but the tactical lack of flexibility. Aside from a striker, we still very much need a proper central defender who can play a high line if we're not to have to change tactics every time Varane/Martinez are out for whatever reason.

The first half is as bad a performance as I've seen from us and worrying how poor we were. They were good, we were worse.

Why? They put kids on and completely eased up. It’s embaressing.
Mainly because it's not a total humiliation. There's not a huge amount of shame losing to Man City at the minute, we're trying to get closer with Ten Hag, but there's still some glaring issues. It's just because it's been better than it has been in previous seasons, at least for me. Our season won't be decided by this game, lets be completely honest, and now we've got Liverpool, Arsenal and City (and Brighton!!!) out of the way, should be some easier games to come.

Won the 2nd half 3-2 progress lads!

Seriously though it doesn't paper over the cracks of horror show 1st half that allowed City stroll to 3 points with schoolboy defending and zero intensity.

Beat Liverpool, Arsenal and well beaten by City conceding six goals what will this inconsistent United team do next is the main question..

You can spend all the money and bring in all the managers you want. This team folds under any slight bit of pressure and there is no character out there . There hasn't been in many years

Needs to be the end of Rashford as a CF. Offers nothing against teams that don’t leave a million miles between their defence and goal line.

Martial the only striker at the club who can link the play.

Overall abysmal from most of those players

We’d have a much better midfield without Bruno imo
Love the player but starting to see what other clubs were hesitant with him and we too didn't force it the summer. He's got some massive deficiencies for a team wanting to play the way ETH does.

Scoreline flattered us.

But then City were 35 points ahead of us for a reason and Haaland has made them massively more dangerous since.

Sucks that there's such a gulf between the teams but there's not much point pretending there isn't, so we just have to suck up the loss and move on.

Absolutely knew that was coming. Reverse of the pre-match feeling before the Liverpool game, reverse of the performance and result. We are so far off the top and I don’t see us ever getting back with these oil clubs.

A loss for inevitable. Just glad we didn’t get our GD further screwed. Time to get the season back on track with an important Europa league game to get the momentum. It’s high time we start with Casemiro.

Once again we’re not at it from the start. Could have been 1 down after 3 minutes. No fight and no heart. Ten Hag picked the wrong midfield and we got overrun. A hard watch, especially when so many of our team can’t pass a ball 5 yards, and our next few Premier League games are going to be tough.

Oh, and Bruno needs dropped big time.

Ciry are just too good for us and the rest of the league.

Haaland might be the best striker ever when it's all said and done.

How can we spend so much and still be so far behind in terms of quality , they look a different league to us.
It's all down to the Glazers. You can't keep blaming the workers after ten years of this.

How many more years of getting spanked by the same teams whilst we show the same faults?
