Rojo for Mata and six (seven?) at the back will dominate the post match discussion, and rightly so, if it's a sign of things to come, as that can't be acceptable here. If it was done to mitigate fatigue and lack of first choice players, then I can accept it.

You live and die by results in this game, and we got the three points. Top four looking good again.

Jose made it a bit nervy for us at the end, but we were definitely good enough to win. It was easy in the end.

FIFTH! Are my eyes deceiving me?

Win that leaves sour taste in mouth after that cowardice approach from Jose, awful.

I still think our fixture list is too rough for top four but it's nice to be out of 6th!

Absolutely poor tactics.. As a Manutd fan I never ever want to see that vs an opponent like Middlesbrough atleast. Embarassing.

Finally we have climbed out of 6th! Feels ages since we had a 2 goal or more win.

Good to see Fellaini and Lingard step up for us when we have Zlatan out.

Wouldn't ever say that was comfortable. But great we didn't feck it up yet again, to climb the table. Great goal by Lingard. Too many defenders on the pitch. And I've lost patience with Smalling. Hope he's sold in the summer.

A relief.

Job done. Shouldn't have sat back after going 2-0 but we won so I won't complain.

We won 3-1. All Mourinho's subs vindicated and those moaning about "going defensive" look very silly.

Complain about the tactics all we want but we came here without our three best players and won.

Poor tactics. The last 20-30 minutes were right there with Moyes' cross-show.

Delighted we got the win and with the fatigue, a poor performance would have been acceptable but I'm sorry I'm just embarrassed by what I've witnessed. Against a team that has not scored in 8+ hours of football, we end the game with 7 defenders and 2 DM's. That is shocking. Good win anyway but I'm disappointed with Jose today.

Mourinho does make me chuckle, just fecking off into the sunset down the tunnel celebrating.

Hated our tactics from 70min onwards but we got the very important win before a nice break for the players to recover. Hopefully set up for a decent run in now.

Who cares about the tactics, we've got suspensions, injuries and have played around 900 games in a few weeks. Big 3 points here.

Did the business with a very depleted team can't complain too much.
Smalling should never play again
Surprised Lingard managed to score.
Enough said really, not looking forward to the internationals how boring :annoyed:
