Obertans #1 fan.
It feels like everything at the club is struggling right now. How do Pogba, AWB and Rojo miss those chances? Arsenal is a MASSIVE game.

I’m looking forward to the thread about this being the turning point.

Tuanzebe was pretty good. Greenwood got another goal. Pogba got some match fitness. About the only positives I can find.

This first round has been a slaughter for the PL teams. Tottenham, West Ham, Bornemouth, Brighton all out. West Ham destroyed against Oxford, 4-0.

Few positives - Axel, Greenwood, James, Williams were all good. Fred was OK. The rest were embarrassing. Also became clear tonight that AWB is a great tackler but not a great defender - yet.

My take from this game is that AWB is such a weird footballer. Has everything in his locker to be one of the greatest defenders of the 21st century but almost ceases to be a professional footballer at all when he crosses the halfway line.

Tonight was supposed to be the relief, thought no way can we make this game into a negative. Well done Ole and the boys :p

3D Chess from Ole, get taken to penalties by Rochdale and lull Arsenal into a false sense of security for Monday's game

In the words of Eric Dier... That was embarrassing.

You wouldn’t mind so much if the players were imposing themselves on the other team, but it’s like we just go through the motions until the last 15 minutes until the penny drops and they up the tempo and the intensity. It’s all just so lethargic and aimless all the time.

We're pretty good at penalty shoot-outs nowadays, we should park the bus in all our cup games.

The teams we aspire to be like (eurgh) however, with the exception of Liverpool, thrashed their opposition.

This time last year we were out of the competition. We have to do a lot better than this though. You have to put these teams to the sword and we are scared of them.

What a rollercoaster.

Pluses..Greenwood, Williams, axel, James cameo, awb clearance

Negatives: no tactical awareness, midfield abysmal, no creativity,

Beyond belief: Jones injury, Chong’s performance, rojo doing what he wanted, and Ole laughing and smiling at full time. He should be livid absolutely livid.

Any other day we score 5. At the moment the squad has lost all confidence . There is no rub of the green for us too. It will return ,,patience is required not #Oleout. We are in next round ,today was another bad day at office ,we huffed and puffed - Won the game. The Tinternet will be a fun place tonight.

Move on to the next one .

Well at least we didn't do a Spurs. We played the kids but they were unconvincing again. Chong isn't ready that much is clear. Andreas isn't good enough. Greenwood is the only one that seems to be taking his chances so far.

Can't be arsed saying the same things.

No matter what, always happy to see us win, regardless of circumstances.

Love young Mason and Williams. Good composure on both lads. Would play Williams instead of Young to be honest. We have nothing to lose.

Axel should be a starter for us.

What a wonderful win. Beating a top top side on penalty at Old Trafford is remarkable. Proud of the team, players, manager, board, and the club in general.
