We deserve nothing for this performance. Can't have any complaints.

we are terrible. I don't care if we finish outside the top 4.
Hope southampton finish in the top 4. Great team.. with emphasis on the TEAM.
Good for them

Southampton deserved that.

Another wonderful performance with 3-5-2.

LVG singlehandedly lost this match. With those retarded subs and fecking idiotic formation. Outplayed by Koeman there.

LVG has had an absolute shocker. Di Maria up front was stupid and I'm still in a state of shock at his decision to bring Fellaini on for Di Maria. :houllier:

Looks like we may have chosen the wrong Dutch manager. :(

Frustrating. First half was decent, thigh we didn't take any risks all game and they got a bit of a lucky goal out of nothing. Last 30 minutes was awful though. We lost all composure after conceding.

Poetic justice after we stole a win at their ground. They probably deserved this one.

Starting to doubt LVG.

Crap, garbage,pathetic in possession.

Basically its been a long time coming. We've been so lucky lately that a defeat was always on the cards.

This 352 needs to stop

That's why Fellaini should start over any other fancy midfielders. We looked a couple times more dangerous.

fecking wank.

It's horrible, horrible play even in the last 11 games when we didn't lose we scraped by in every game its something you'd expect big sam to play, the amount of long balls is ridiculous.

On the balance of play we were much the better side, the final ball really, really let us down today.

Deserved win for them, Fonte & Schneiderlin especially were class & Tadic is great. Feck knows where to start with us, load of shit really. 3-5-2 needs to be done with asap. Poor from start to finish and feck knows what the subs were about.

Shit result. Some strange tactics, 3-5-2 should probably be ditched now. Southampton were decent though, to give them some credit.

You don't play 3-5-2 with that kind of defenders. LVG got it all wrong for this game.

Glad to see the back of this lot; barely created a chance against them in two games.

I thought we played better than usual. We were way way worse vs arenal and southampton in games we won. Hopefully we will see a more positive, attacking set up in the weeks to come though

Formation will be (rightly, to some extent) blamed, but you can't really look beyond the players. Haven't seen Carrick this poor in ages and we had the pub-version of Rooney playing today. In the first half we got in decent positions, but Di Maria wasted a lot of them and our other players handled the rest. Mata got three decent chances in the second half and you'd expect him to score from at least one of them. Just a poor performance by pretty much every player today, and not just because of their roles and the formation - a lot of it was just simply failing at football.

LvG lost us this match I'm afraid. 3 at the back at home, Di Maria as a striker and a striker in midfield. Mata was good, but really should have scored.

I don't understand the point of Juan Mata.

Unless the game is going perfectly for us, he's invisible.

When he's not, like today, he doesn't fecking hit the target 3 times.

Just checked the score. I'm still fuming, I switched the game off after he took Di maria off for fecking Fellaini.
