Probably applying common sense;
- There was numerous reports early on in the window saying we wanted two strikers (young + experienced)
- There should be room for thag considering Ronaldo have left
- Would make sense to take some pressure of Højlund.
- Considering the competitive nature of the PL, relying on Rashford, Højlund/Sancho and Antony would make us too vulnerable.
(I also think Neymar could be an option. There was also alot of talk about EtH looking for a flexible forward. Neymar could fit that bill.)

You could arguably classify Toney as near world class based on last season. Watkins has his limitations but is a good PL forward. I wouldn’t mind either especially for adding some depth to our striker options.

I suggest we calm down a bit in here. The charges have been dropped. The internal investigation is probably finished. The lad's own attitude will -- by now -- have been well and truly aired and questioned and explored. Social media is not a forum for justice, and neither is the Caf. We are not in possesson of even half the information needed to make a judgement; not the background, not the detailed story, not the current situation. The issue being debated here is tricky for the moderators. No doubt an official announcement will come soon, and things will gradually become clearer then. Whatever decision the club makes, I will support. There is surely a possibility of redemption; who knows. I wish Greenwood, his partner and their new arrival all the best; healing and peace; wisdom and sanity.
