Absolutely appalling performance today! Bloody sickening watching that sorry display, I have to be honest...
Mourinho would want to cop on and set us up a lot better than that when the competitive matches come around or he'll be facing the boot again. We also need to sell at least half the players that played today, I'm sorry but it's the truth. Enraged is an understatement!

Did I get you? It's a pre-season friendly for Gods Sake! hahaha
The feck is wrong with you. You are overreacting.

Edit. I fell for it.

Tbf, it should be mentioned that there is a number of people here who keep tagging him, and try to provoke exactly these kind of postings with similar childish comments
Nah, check his first post on this thread. He pretty much started it by posting a WUM comment.

Lets hope his idea of improving United isn't simply throwing money at the problem. Dortmund are the model of what a great functioning club can achieve through excellent coaching, recruitment and youth development/integration.

It should be mentioned that he initiated the entire wumming by being incredibly obnoxious.

We'll see about far better manager. Better squad as long as our injury record doesn't get in the way.
What to see? Bayern have got easily the better manager and only modern manager to win 3 CLs.

They were always gonna be sharper than us with more games under their belt and it definitely showed. Only bit of quality we produced in the whole game was the goal after their third.

Pre-season results don't matter at all but if it's gonna help Mourinho see that certain players aren't good enough then it's probably a good thing.

Actually it was Swanson's Tache who started it with a WUM tagged towards him

Tuchel is amazing. Just because he's still at the start of his career doesn't mean he isn't class.

And yet they could have conceded 3 quite easily today against our no hopers. Their defence always looks turd to me despite a wonderful attack.

I did not watch it , because pre-season matches like this mean nothing, they are IMHO just to get players fit , build some team spirit and help new players settle down with their new team mates.
The City game will have some added spice but it is still a pre season game and has such means nothing.
Spot on.

First game I truly care about is the Community Shield because despite it still being a friendly, it's one week before the start of the domestic season and by then most of the pre-season preparation should be complete. That game should be a decent indicator.

Fantasy Girl says: You wont get any of them, cause Mou+Ibra+Co wont bring you salvation. Nobody will believe the fairy tail of the "biggest club" anymore and the other pullfactor called money wont attract great players. They want to play fantastic football, that they get at us, not at United.
 biggest load of bull you have spouted on here, yet.

I don't think Fosu-Mensah is a natural RB. I see his future being in midfield. Darmian should stay. I'd welcome Fabinho. A RB specialist is seriously needed.
Maybe in the long term I'd agree but I'd like to see him as a fullback until he gets more experience. There's a lot of responsibility as a DM and he was brilliant against Spurs at RB (the only good player on the pitch).

Memphis and Lingard should have scored. That would have lifted the team. Think the team are just glad of the workout.

He needs to ignore it, I like Dortmund and kind of take personally the ridiculous comments made by some but you can't give them what they want.

I don't get why Slig is even posting on a Manchester United forum if he hates us so much. You won't see me register on a Liverpool forum to spout cringeworthy drivel.

None of these things are foreign to Manchester United. It's what you all have been doing for decades.

Who said he isn't class?
Well, you kind of implied it by saying Carlo being *far* better. I don't really share this notion. He's more experienced, but Tuchel otoh knows the league and its players far better, and apart from that, Carlos domestic record isn't *that* impressive.
I expect a harder title race than last season, and a Dortmund championship wouldn't come off as a surprise.

dont even bother with that to be honest, I have seen some dreadful CS games Arsenal 1998 springs to mind and we all know what happened that season.

Can we have LVG back just for our pre-season please? He is the ultimate Pre-season King. Let Mou take over from him once the season starts.

Today slig started it. By I admit to being guilty of baiting him every now and then.

I find him entertaining, and the best part is that we all know that Bayern, us, City, RM and a few other clubs will continue to pick up their players, so we know there are many more meltdowns to come

They have a pattern of play which allows them to create lots of openings. By playing that style they open themselves up taking risks but clearly believe in their style and team mates qualities to do so.

No team is perfect and Dortmund aren't in the elite bracket when it comes to personnel yet are far ahead of us without a fraction of our spend. They replace star players quickly. Those star players aren't the same elsewhere for the most part.

Everything out on the pitch is a manifestation of what happens in training. It's clockwork.

And btw some of their first choices weren't playing.

90 minutes under the belt for several players, I thought Bailly, Herrera and Shaw did well and Januzaj looked feisty when he came on.

I find him entertaining too. @slig comes with the added bonus of always ended up with egg on his/her face due to Dortmund having to sell their best players every season, usually to their biggest rivals.

I have no problems with Dortmund fans being bitter after this summer, I cheered every Barcelona touch in the 5-0 clasico and that was 2 seasons after Ronaldo was sold.
