Walter Crickmer started it all...
United v Trafford FC:

Tonight's team and subs.

1. Henderson 2. Riley 3. Borg 4. Tuanzebe © 5. Williams 6. Scott 7. McTominay 8. Thompson 9. Croskery 10. Rashford 11. Mitchell

12. Reid (2) 14. Gribbin (8) 15. Borthwick-Jackson (3) 16. Kehinde (7) 17. Dearnley (11) 18. Obi (9) 19. Dorrington (1)

United won 1-0 after a good goal from Marcus Rashford. A fairly even game with both teams having a few chances to score.

We seemed to play a flat back three with two wing-backs switching to a flat back four with Charlie Scott pushed into MF and playing just in front of the defence.

Borg looked tidy…very pacy with good tackling. He seemed to prefer jockey opposing forwards rather than diving in. He played about 60 mins.

Obi got the last 30 mins but didn't have time to show much.

The photo that Khoazany posted above was taken just before kick-off. Borg is in between Mitchell and Williams.

The two Portuguese trial lists were there (plus a few U/16's) but didn't get on.

Everyone had a solid game…Borg looked lively, Charlie Scott when he ventured forward was ok. Probably Jordan Thompson until he got injured.

Both teams cancelled each other out really.
Interesting to see we played with two wing backs. Can't remember us playing with that system in either youth teams or first team.

Probably something to do with the number of CBs we have and will have (assume Mensah's deal still on).

Lol! Horrible attempt at spelling Kieran O'Hara that. Harrop's brother seems to have to have the midfield too..

In case some aren't able to read tweets:
Manchester United ✔ @ManUtd
#mufc Reserves XI v Altrincham: O'Hara; Vermijl, Thorpe, McNair, Varela; Janko, Harrop, Petrucci, A.Pereira, Lawrence; Wilson.

I wouldn't be amazed if the scoresheet will be something like 5-5 with that midfield three.

Where is Pearson anyway?

Looks like we've seen the last of the legend that is Bebe in the reserves! No more retrieving the ball from the parking lots for the ball boys

Petrucci still plays for our reserves? Jesus, he was the main guy in the reserves when Ronaldo was still here

Nick @ManUnitedYouth · 14m

3-0 - Petrucci’s second, scrambling home at the second attempt after a brilliant run into the box from Lawrence

Nick @ManUnitedYouth · 11m
Tom Thorpe has been pretty much flawless today, making the game look absurdly easy.

Nick @ManUnitedYouth · 9m

Lawrence so close to pulling off a Bergkamp vs Leicester (only not a fluke, obviously). Keeper got out to block but admirable audacity

Nick @ManUnitedYouth · 2m

4-0 - McNair smartly glances home a Pereira freekick. And then promptly departs to be replaced by Ryan McConnell

10 mins gone and Harrop scores a cracking solo goal with an angled rocket of a shot to finish. 1-0
