I'm pretty sure it's your pick, you don't need to wait another 12 hours etc. Think he just picks when he logs back on.

What do we do about Jonno? He hasn't logged on in a couple of days, at which time it didn't look like we were goin ahead with this
We will wait for him until the end of draft round 2, if he does not show up by then, I am afraid we will have to find a replacement. Draft round 3 is supposed to start with him. Any replacement will have to make 3 picks at one go then.

That is correct. Once the 12 hour window passes, the draft skips to the next manager and proceeds as usual. Jonno can pick his players as soon as he returns.

Need the right partner to complement Gerrards attacking instinct in the middle of the park.

No man better suited to this than Claude Makelele. Jose Mourinho had the same idea almost securing Gerrard for Chelsea prior to Liverpools Champions League win in 2005. Makelele was the rock in midfield during Mourinho's success, i don't think they've been anywhere near as solid since he left.

I was actually deliberating between Essien and Fabregas - was a difficult choice

All the best centre mids are getting snapped up straight away! Does this always happen in drafts? As opposed to the best strikers, defenders etc.

The normal pattern I reckon is the big marquee names go first, then the central midfielders disappear.

That is often the case from my experience (participated in 4 previous drafts)
I gambled in opting for Henry as my first pick (too good to miss out on), taking the risk that the top centre midfielders could be gone the next time it is my turn. Fortunately, Fabregas slipped through for me to pick him up.

Quite a few marquee names upfront have not been picked yet though
Meanwhile, 7 out of 12 picks so far are centre midfielders

That's how I felt about Shearer, too good to pass up. When Makalele went thought about getting another centre mid to partner Keane, Fabregas would have been perfect, almost recreating the Scholes/Keane combination, but couldn't say no to Shearer!

Yeah well I suppose the top two or three players of the generation go first - the ones who challenged for or won Ballon D'Ors - then it's a rush on to bag a top centre-mid. I thought Fabregas might slip through.

I concur, Fabregas-Keane will be fantastic but Shearer would be hard to miss out on even with the marquee names upfront still available. If Jonno does not show up, the 3 picks at one go by his replacement could change the picture significantly and set off a scramble.

Vieira passing to Giggs? That should work out well.

I concur
In terms of dominating the Premier League, Henry and Ronaldo are the two that come to mind. I would put Henry slightly ahead because his influence and impact on games were greater and sustained over a longer period of time (2001-2006 vs 2006-2008, which is about twice as long). However, Ronaldo's ability to play anywhere across the front gives you immense flexibility in terms of drafting and tactical setup.
Frankly though, I did not expect Fabregas to slip through to me but I think that all the managers have made strong picks so far

does Gio have 2 picks now? or are we waiting to see what happens with Jonno?

I think Jonno should be replaced ASAP, otherwise that team is going to be too weak

Pol said it is Jonno's three picks next, but as he is not here he is getting replaced with Cheesy having first option to take the spot.

Great picks by both Omar and Gio

Round 3 of drafting is supposed to start with Jonno but he has not turned up. Cheesy has not replied to my PM either. So if Cal? shows up first, he can replace Jonno.

To keep the draft moving along, I will set the timeframe
We will wait 4 hrs for Cheesy/Cal? to turn up, if not the opportunity will be passed to Brwned. He has another 4 hrs to confirm his participation before it skips to BD94. The new manager has to make 3 picks at one go.

I'm a bit confused here - after whoever replaces Jonno makes their 3 picks, who goes next?

Under normal circumstances Gio would be starting the 3 round of picks, right?
