No, Pol has changed it to make it fairer, it was discussed in the last draft game.

The benefit to going first, so getting Ronaldo, means that to balance it out for this turn it goes back down to the 8th player for their pick.

Thats my understanding anyway.

Surely its already fair the normal system. He gets the best player, then gets the 16th and 17th best player in the draft.

Draft setup
* There are 12 rounds of drafting in the primary draft
* Drafting sequence
Round 1,4,5,8,9,12 - starts with Team 1 and ends with Team 8
Round 2,3,6,7,10,11 - starts with Team 8 and ends with Team 1
We will wait for him until the end of draft round 2, if he does not show up by then, I am afraid we will have to find a replacement. Draft round 3 is supposed to start with him. Any replacement will have to make 3 picks at one go then.
Pretty clear on the rules Omar, don't see the confusion.

I'm not too fussed about the order. May as well just crack on with what Polaroid stated in the OP, although Stam doesn't make the cut Brwned.

Incase i end up with only one up top need someone that can lead the line on his own. Can't think of anyone better at this than Didier Drogba. Never gives defenders a moments piece, built like a brick shithouse, strong in the air and with either foot. Can score goals out of nothing, deadly from set pieces and is arguably the best big game player in the world today. The most explosive all round centre forward in premiership history imo.

226 Premiership appearances, 100 goals
3 Premier League, 4 FA Cup, 1 Champions League
Premiership Team of the Year x 2
Premiership Golden Boot x 2

The 5th highest Premiership all time goalscorer and by a mile the highest scoring CM with over 150 goals. Two time PFA Player of the Season, Football Writers Player of the Year and runner up to Ronaldinho in the 2005 Ballon d'Or - Frank Lampard.

There's very little in it right now as it is a very deep pool for eight teams. Fullbacks and wingers will probably end up separating the teams quite drastically.

Indeed. There is a real lack of top class wingers compared to other positions. Jayvin is laughing in that regard though!

I really wanted to pick someone else, one of my favourite players but couldnt pass on Lampard. At his peak he was brilliant and the good centre mids are running low.

Drogba over Ruud? Odd IMO
Agreed but he does have the Makelele connection, and he's going to be forced to play the 433 which Drogba played in a lot more often than Van Nistelrooy.
Exactly Brwned. Still have reservations about Gerrard in a midfield 2, well more i guess that the voters probably will, so if Gerrards playin off the front man i wanted someone mobile that can lead the line on their own. Think Gerrard would combine superbly with Drogba, much like Lampard does, but i don't think he would with RVN. With RVN i'd have been going a 4-4-2 which i'd rather not do for this.

You could pick an all United 11 and have 11 great players I reckon - such is the contribution we have made to the PL. That would allow brownie points for team cohesion / shared philosophy.

Jayvin as usual has compiled a top-class midfield. He could stick Kevin Nolan in there and it would still look the business.

That team's brimming with creativity Omardalvi. I thought McManaman might slip for a couple of rounds due to his scally-scouseness.

I wonder whether Ljungberg alongside Pires and Bergkamp wouldn't have been better.

Yeah Pires and McManaman will both naturally drift infield into a space already potentially occupied by Scholes and Bergkamp.

In fairness, it will be good to see 8 strong teams from the off, I struggle to think of 8 decent fullback pairs, let alone 16!!!!

There was already enough creativity, Ljungberg's direct play would be a nice touch and he probably could have got away with waiting another round and going for someone like RvN now. That would have been an awesome attack

Yeah 'tis a great pick. Everyone picked well last night! Gio did well to get Petit considering how quickly the best centre mids were getting snapped up, very good player.
