Brentford are thugs. Hope they lose Toney on a cheap and get relegated.

Christ it’s so hard to watch modern footballers. Do they practice that exaggerated ‘scream of pain’ face in training, do you reckon?

Toney is a good player. Wonder if he can link up with Eriksen ...

This is how the top half is shaping up before the weekend fixtures. All the big guns roughly where you expect them to be.

Didn't watch the game, but it looks like Brighton completely dominated the game by the stats alone.

Looking at the highlights, Toney's first goal was quality!

Toney's attitude is top. Great player and very likeable.

Why do they sing Hey Jude? What’s the connection to Brentford
Apparently Peter Gilham, the long-serving stadium announcer, played it for his friend Judy in the 1970s, and it stuck... I think Hey Jude has particular emotional resonance because of how it ties together the good and bad times of being a fan - the build-up from "take a sad song and make it better" has also been sung quite defiantly when Brentford are losing, especially in the lower league days at Griffin Park.

Was a good game to watch today, both teams keen to attack. From the Brentford side there are some significant injury absences and flair players still finding their feet after serious injuries or joining in the summer, but it's a big result for regaining momentum after a bad few weeks. Toney and Raya superb.

With fixture congestion, Saturdays like these were written in stars.
Doesn't help that BT/Sky choose Leicester v Palace and Brentford v Brighton as if anyone apart from their respective teams wants to watch them.
