Go on Burnley, go on Palace.
Either win or draw.
Don't lose, so we can have great weekend.
And draw later on, or Chelsea win? Hm. Still don't know what I want in that game.

This is one goal in a hundred nonsense being normal in the corner thread is nonsense. I've seen so many goals from corners in the last week alone. It's a shambles that it's been so long for us. Set piece coach my eye.

When you see a goal from a corner like that, just how painfully simple and easy it can be, it's tragic how long it's been since we've managed to do it.
Same with city’s free kick yesterday, easy goals we aren’t getting

They have won 2 out of last 12. Doesn’t seem to matter so they’re playing? They aren’t played City 12 times in a row
Doesn't the fact you've not overhauled us despite such a run make it more unlikely if anything?

The odds of another run like that are slim to none, if it happened it would be a truly unprecedented run of form.

There are some changes I’d make to City personally but they’re an absolute it rly incredible team.

Grealish is not suited to City and would rather buy free kicks than play football. An actual striker instead of Gabriel Jesus and they’d be deadly. Imagine City with Lewandowski up front for example.
Doesn't always work like that though as we've brutally found out.

Yeah, a fixed point at the top of the pitch might reduce the effectiveness of the overall team, free flowing, positional rotation etc.

Hard to understand how Liverpool turn up at what is notoriously a tricky ground for top teams yet it all looks so easy and comfortable for them. And without the best player in the league. Shite

Palace bend over for them, ever since they broke their hearts in Crystanbal they've notoriously been a soft touch for Liverpool

Switching over to Arsenal-Burnley which is usually the kiss of death.

Recently maybe but after that they beat them in the same fixture the next season then followed it up with three in a row at Anfield.

I was told they will lose games without Salah and Mane!
Caf lied to me!! :(
The CAF didn't look at the fixtures they'd be playing without them. It was massively overstated how much they'd miss them given the subsequent fixtures

Arsenal should have used the advantage in the cup though

Firmino is just everywhere. Pops up in midfield, goes into space at #10, In the box for the cross, peels off to the edge of the box when the cross doesn't come.

It's actually pretty entertaining to focus just on what he does and not watch the game at all for a bit.

It’s fascinating to see how far the whole Liverpool team is pushed up the pitch. It’s like they have 6 forwards sometimes.

Do teams actually try when they play Liverpool? The intensity that we come up against every week compared to this.

Dumb Palace with the high press. That’s what can happen. We can relax a bit now

Liverpool match or better that intensity whilst having superior quality all over the pitch to most teams.

We’d find games a lot easier if we did the same - something we hopefully will begin to see more often.
