Soton are very rigid in their midfield line. So Liverpool can have players like Firmino sit in between the lines and then play through the half space then have an extra runner from midfield play off the ball, similar to how Minamino scored his goal.
Track the runs in behind and focus on the space, not just where the ball is. Soton just aren't engaged enough when out of possession.
