Brighton just gifted 2 goals to Liverpool trying to play out from the back. After Villa put 6 past them, teams are cottoning on to Brighton I think. Their defenders are not that good passing out from the back when the pressure is on, but they won't deviate from it. Liverpool could get 5 or 6 here.

The ref didn’t give that penalty on Gross, he clearly pointed to the second incident which was never a penalty.

When he spoke to Dunk he was clearly stating the penalty was on the Gross tackle, therefore should he not be reviewing it on VAR as he did not give that as his decision?

For the record, it’s a clear penalty all day long.

Definitely a penalty, no worse than Gabriel on Højlund though.

I hate this modern day mantra that you have to pass it out from the back no matter what.. sometimes you’ve just got to put your foot through it, put it in to row z.. it causes more problems than it does not at times.

Brighton have played Liverpool off the park, and then just gifted them two goals from absolutely nothing.

Strange comment after Brighton dominated them whole half until the goal they conceded. They were fine playing from the back until then, and they played with ease.

Klopp Liverpool must have the record for scoring in matches with their first effort on target.

Wouldn’t say it was domination. They led after a howler at the other end. Game was open and Liverpool look dangerous when they attack almost every time.

Amazing how Liverpool is still without yellow card despite doing several fouls from behind. Refs are so scared of them now.

Wish teams would gift us goals from nothing.

Its effective but sometimes just fecking boot it when you're outnumbered. Incredibly dumb from their keeper
It is effective sometimes but it is not worth it doing it all the time. When you are high pressed, kick it ffs.

You all realise Liverpool will still win this right?
Some people never learn. Same story every time - mocking Liverpool and their players as soon as they are a goal down - and 9/10 times they end up winning anyway.

I know it's pure bias talking, but it really does feel like teams don't even bother against Liverpool half the time.

If Brighton have a free kick against us on the edge of the area, an attacking player is stepping up and whipping it into the top corner. Brighton get that free kick against Liverpool and Lewis fecking Dunk steps forward to toe end it into the wall.

The way the caf act whenever Liverpool score you’d think every goal is scored as a result of a bout of pinball in the box that rebounds of Salah’s face a la Hernandez. Guys…it is ok to admit that when they get going their attack is very good

I reckon the benefit of the doubt from refs / VAR that Liverpool will get the rest of the season will be worth way more than the lost points vs Spurs.

Their first goal is a result of the CB making a bad pass, automatic 3 vs 2
Their second goal is a result of the keeper making the worst pass possible, 2 vs 1 and penalty

Its not like they made 45 passes and carved brighton open for both goals

Who cares, they were terrible in that half and deserved to be mocked. Goals or not.

It’s scary how quickly we’ve become RAWK.

Every team gifts other team goals apart from us. Every team raises their games against us. Commentators don’t give the same criticism to Allison as they do Onana.

Yes it's pure bias talking. Often, what looks like teams not bothering against Liverpool while attacking is them being worried and cautious about what Liverpool could do at the other end.

Sadly, they have no such fears against us. Even Liverpool today seem to be playing like they're worried about Brighton's attacking quality. Doubt Liverpool would show us the same respect.

Yep always the same. They've got the best forward line in the league. Can easily turn a game at any point.

All 3 goals from errors after playing out from the back.
The first Liverpool goal wasn't really caused by playing out of the back.
Brighton had the ball, played it back and then a defender misplaced a pass.

They have Salah and Klopp who makes them run like crazy and never give up, nothing to do with rest of their forward line which is pretty average. They exploit every little chance and know what kind of football they are playing once they step on the pitch. Rest of their forward line just listens to his instruction, if they don't they end up on the bench.
