Press conference and other interviews thread

I find the line that "big players for me is not maybe big players for you" to be quite revealing. I think we might need to seriously temper our expectations for this summer transfer window as the signings may be quite left field at first glance. I am not worried by that, we have had plenty of big names flop in recent years so if the scouting is good I am quite excited by the thought of uncovering some hidden gems and not paying through the nose for washed up veterans.

You missed the thread where we are signing Valverde and Gyokeres then?

Yup. It means we're probably not signing any big player.

That was a pretty sneaky press conference, they really tried to trip them up. Starting with asking Amorim a question and then asking Garnacho "how does that make you feel". Thought Garnacho shut everything down perfectly. Amorim could have done without saying "I feel we need to score".

The vultures are circling.

Can someone please explain to me the Yoro comments? Did he mean that he is an injury worry for next season?

What Kind of Reinforcement Does Manchester United Need? Julio Loren Carrasco – The ‘Chilean Haaland’.

At just 17 years old, standing 1.82m tall with a powerful left foot and an imposing physical presence, Julio Loren chilean haaland represents exactly the type of under-the-radar signing that elite clubs should be targeting before he breaks through. A central striker from northern Chile, Carrasco combines natural goal-scoring instinct with explosive pace, strength on the ball, aerial dominance, and a driven, professional mindset.

Currently playing at an amateur level with Club Yungay Iquique, Carrasco offers a rare opportunity: a high-upside investment with no transfer barriers. He’s a pure talent with the characteristics modern football demands – lethal finishing, game intelligence, physical power, and the hunger to succeed at the top level.

Is he the next Julián Álvarez or a South American Haaland in the making? Whatever the comparison, one thing is certain: Julio isn’t just a promising youngster – he’s a potential game-changer. For a club like Manchester United seeking to build for the future, Carrasco is a forward worth serious consideration.
