Assuming Lukaku goes for £70m+ and that nobody else comes in I'd give it 6/10.

I think Maguire and AWB are great signings who instantly improve our first XI, and James is cheap and has good potential.

Personally, I'm not that fussed with losing Lukaku and would like to see Martial, Rashford and Greenwood (off the bench) given more opportunities to lead the line. I'm also pleased we appear to have kept Pogba.

But, I'm disappointed we've not improved in midfield. We've lost Herrera and Fellaini since Ole took over, Matic is older and slower, and we badly need some more quality in the centre.

Finally, disappointed we've not cleared out any of the dead-wood. I can see value in keeping Lingard, Young, and Mata - they provide squad depth in their positions. But to have Jones, Smalling, Bailly, Rojo, and Darmian (behind Maguire and Lindelof, and AWB and Dalot) is just ridiculous.

If we’re talking overall it’s the worst transfer window I can remember.

Even last season we had finished comfortably in the top 4 the season before and had added to our squad. Same in 2013.

The fact we were so shit last season and haven’t even replaced our outgoing players let alone bolstered our midfield or attack is a fecking disgrace. Woodward and the rest have actually managed to shock me with their incompetence this time. We are being run into the ground.

3/10 if Lukaku is sold and no one else brought in(and I actually support Lukaku being sold with no replacement just because of his actions).

Not done enough. No right sided attacker. Not even 1 midfielder brought in.

All in all, considering we have had our new manager for half the previous season, supposedly had clear vision and intentions going into the window, finished 6th last season and knew we have to improve this season, briefed about bringing in 5 first team players before the window opened and didn't manage to sign anyone in at least half of the highlighted positions, it's a bit fecking shit.

Had a feeling we were done after Maguire, getting used to the way Woodward works.

If the window closes with no more signings, I'd say it's a 4. Last summer was shit as well, we simply had to spend big this time round. We've sorted 2 positions that badly needed addressing, but for me the entire midfield and right wing were just as urgent, and to not even see a single signing in those areas is just criminal.

We knew when it all went to shit last season that we were just going to have to limp over the line and rebuild the team in the summer, but yet again it hasn't happened. Ole knows this, and I don't understand why he was coming out with quotes about changing half the team if he wasn't led to believe there was money to spend.

Hard to see us not struggling this season, I genuinely think a midfielder and a right winger could be the difference between 3rd and 7th. Ole could be in trouble here, I don't know if he's got the experience to hold it together if we start sliding down the bottom of the top half by Christmas.

I am gonna say 5/10 because we have finally brought in two world class defenders. But I was expecting jones, sanchez, darmian, matic, lingard and lukaku to leave - at the moment only Lukaku looks certain to go. I honestly don't think Fred has what it takes to replace Matic, but I really do hope I am wrong and somehow McT and Fred can play alongside Pogba and become world beaters. I think we really did need reinforcements on the right side of midfield.

I think the way the club has handled the transfer window is 2/10, there has been too much speculation and they really should have locked down Maguire before pre season. Every time there is a protest on social media, the next day the club is linked with impossible transfers. From the outside, it all looks a bit chaotic and unfocused.

4/10. Midfield and RW needed to be addressed, also not one of the fringe players hasn't been sold. Also what's gonna happen with Lukaku situation.

Disappointing. C grade - average. (D if Lukaku leaves and is not replaced).

Positives:
- We have solidifed our defense, and should be ok here for the next 5+ years.
- Looks like we have retained De Gea.

Negatives:
- Have not offloaded any players, despite them not being in our plans and on huge wages. (Sanchez, Rojo, Darmian etc)
- Failed to add any midfielder after losing 2 at the end of last season. We are very thin on 1st team options here - one injury and we are at bare bones.
- The Lukaku affair. Happy for him to leave, but if he is not replaced we could be in serious trouble.
- We have Pogba for another year (6 months?), without knowing how he will play or how commited he is.

All in all, there was a lot of promise, but unless something dramatic happens in the next 2 days, this window can only be seen as a failure. We were playing catchup already, this sees us at best stand still. Should be ok for top 4, but can't see much more unless Martial, Rashford andf the youngsters really step up.

Bad. Midfield is a wasteland. It could easily have been improved greatly but we've done nothing.

Our best run last season was built around Matic, Pogba and Herrera in CM. When that got broken up we struggled.

One has left, one is finished and we've bought nobody. Pogba and McTomminay can't play every game.

5 out of 10. Think we needed four players, I do not count James as we did not need someone in that position. So we have strengthened the defence, but the midfield needed sorted and RW. Just think we will end up in the same position and will struggle again next season to sign players to move us to the next level. There is a chance of Top 4 but we will be relying on both Arsenal and Chelsea slipping up. It could end up a lot worse. I mentioned elsewhere that Ole should start bringing the kids in for the perpetual wasters in the team. I worry for them if it all goes wrong and he leaves. A new manager will likely ignore them.

5/10 - At least our defence is finally sorted.

But it's another year with Mata and Lingard as our cam and rw. I hate how we're holding out for Sancho next Summer and I hate how we're not really in the market for a cam.

However, there's still 2 days left, so anything can happen.

If we sign No1 else then it's a very poor window . It's half assed as usual . We fix the defense yet have atm a team with probably only MC T who gives us anything in midfield defence. We need someone else in that position badly I feel and up front we lose Lukaku and if we don't we will still lose him because he's more or less on strike . We have a team with no proven goalscorers without any natural defensive midfielder but a good defence on paper .

A miracle might get us top 4 but as we stand I reckon 5th or 6th again

I'm really angry the midfield is still gutless and slow. I don't think Fred or Piera will make up for the lack of a midfield general. McTom is OK.
But, at least we have improved the defence and although nothing to do with transfers I really enthuse over some of our youngsters especially Greenwood starting some games this year.

5.5/10

Maguire and Tuanzebe's integration are big positives for the centre back issue we had and WanB is hopefully going to be an excellent signing addressing the biggest gap in our team from last year which was right back. James for less than £20m is a decent addition for his speed alone and offers a bit more depth in the attacking areas.

But in terms of improving our midfield and offensive issues in the first 11 we've made literally no progress at all. In fact our midfield has actually got worse since the start of the year if that were possible. Offensively we're pretty much betting all chips on Rashford and Martial which is a risky strategy to say the least.

Lastly our outgoings have been nothing short of a disaster so far. Of all the deadwood in the squad we've only let go of Herrera and Valencia, 1 of which we would have actually wanted to keep. Rojo, Bailly, Darmian, Sanchez have no place in the squad and it remains to be seen what happens with Lukaku.

Overall it's an average window but we left ourselves so much work to do at the beginning of it that a 10/10 would have been impossible. If we'd had signed a right winger and midfield reinforcement we could have easily got to an 8.

Last summer was bad and so is this one. Happy with AWB and Maguire but the midfield is a disaster waiting to happen. Herrera left, Fellaini left, Pogba wants out. If Matic was a horse they'd have put him down by now.

Then in attack our top scorer is AWOL

All this while there was a summer without a World Cup or Euro's and no Chelsea or Liverpool going for it in the market.

Our signings seem decent.

We look to have kept Ddg and Pogba.

So much more should have been done though.

The signings we have actually made have been excellent additions, but realistically we're at least one midfielder short.

3/10. Decent ins but need more midfielders. Also didn't manage to get rid of any deadwood. So ruthless Ole, really.

A generous 6/10.

A new right back was the highest priority for me, and Wan-Bissaka seems to be a rare talent. If he keeps up like he's started, it will be money very well spent indeed.
Maguire is also a big upgrade on all our CB options, so well done getting him in.
James has looked very keen, and it's so good to finally have a true winger again. Someone who doesn't always cut inside to shoot, but is willing to be on the outside, run at people and beat them.

So all the signings have been spot on for me. Sadly, they're not close to being enough. United desperately need at least one midfielder (and preferably two), a new (or proper) number 10, and maybe a new attacker. More worryingly it looks like United once again didn't have a plan. Woodward has spent the summer very inefficiently and should really have wrapped up Wan-Bissaka and Maguire far quicker. Leaving the midfielder for the last week is criminally negligent and just highlights that United crucially need a DoF NOW..

3/10. We addressed the glaring issues in defence, so I'm happy with that. Midfield was already weak and it's been further weakened without getting anyone in, a complete disaster. Attack needed additional quality but instead we're left with a main goal scorer whose position at the club is pretty much untenable while we didn't get anyone in, apart from a young talent. Another complete disaster. Meanwhile, we failed to get enough deadwood off of the books.

All in all, this transfer window leaves us in a mess going into the new season. It's just not enough, not even close.

Not signing a defensive midfielder is a feckin joke. But the deadwood can leave until September 2nd, so I'm confident we'll get rid of Lukaku, Darmian and Rojo/Smalling at least.

Why not test the waters offering Newcastle Jones and/or Mata for Longstaff?

It's been proper shit.

On top of not improving our midfield, we've failed to get rid of our deadwood. We lost Herrera, who was the most "Fergie" player in the post Fergie United, and we are haggling over a few million quid for a waste of space wantaway striker with no first touch, who is publicly disrespecting the club.

Rashford, Martial and Lingard better step up this coming season. I hope Greenwood, Chong and Gomes has an impact on the season, however unfair that is on 3 players who are just beginning their careers.

We’ve strengthened the defence in two key positions and James has promise but our midfield isn’t up to the standard, is weaker than it already was last season when we needed reinforcements and we won’t score enough goals.

Our midfield is as weak as the Anderson and Cleverley era

4/10

Had we signed a top CM, I’d have upped that significantly.

Needed 5 in got 3 so a 3/5 on that part. Needed 5 out but not Herrera so 1/5 on that part. So a glorious 4/10 so far.

We actually went a step backwards. 6 months ago we thought our midfield just needed a Matic upgrade but instead Ander left. No Matic upgrade, no Ander replacement.

Forward : line didn't buy a winger. We are also selling the fat man without getting a replacement. No matter how anyone feels about him 15 goals is a lot for a team like ours

We fixed the defense, but not the midfield or attack. So 3 or 4 /10.

4/10 so far largely because of "ruthless" Ole being so toothless on the departure front. Plus we've somehow managed to outspend everyone and end up with a weaker midfield and less proven goalscorers than at the start of last season.

I can't even give it a rating when we have literally no creativity in midfield when Pogba gets injured or leaves

Not getting champions league has really hurt Ole's hopes of getting a midfielder or two

5/10.

Had Dan James been a more elite winger who could walk into the first 11 and we kept Herrera for a couple more years, then it would be an 8. Defence looks pretty solid, although I have a feeling Tuanzebe might just be in the starting 11 ahead of Lindelof by the end of the season. RB and a (actually decent) CB were bare minimum requirements, that have been needed for about three years plus.
I can only assume we feel that Garner will play a big part this year, because it’s a big risk not signing another DM. I don’t think Mctominay is good in that position and Matic is declining rapidly.
If we sell Lukaku without a replacement then it’s a joke. We’re basically just hoping that James can step up from Championship level, which won’t happen straight away. Or that Greenwood will burst onto the scene. Because Rashford/Martial won’t score enough goals for us to improve. It’ll be a long season and they won’t be able to play every week.

We have spent more than anyone but I'm not even sure our squad isnt actually weaker than at the start of it, how is that even possible as a concept but here we are.

Unless some players up top and in midfield in particular are about to step up big time.

I think departures will definitely happen - after the EPL deadline as players will leave to go overseas - Darmian, Rojo should definitely be on their way. Looks like Lukaku also.

As for incomings - I’m happy with the 3 we have got but agree with most others that the midfield/attacking areas are lightweight.

We really needed another solid quality midfielder but for all the Twitter chat - I think it’s just that - chat.

Even if we do somehow get another deal over the line youve got to say that doing last day business highlights the same old story - PPP - piss poor planning

As soon as the UK deadline passes - the next saga is going to be the wait until September when all European deadlines have passed -don’t be surprised to hear constant rumours regarding Pogba - the Spanish press will be stirring up all sorts to unsettle Pogba and Mino will surely get his big wooden spoon out again to stir the pot......

This, it's unbelievable  What pisses me off is that not only the midfield and attack got weaker, but all the useless, expensive deadwood is still here! "You won't see some of these players in United shirts next season"... yeah right, Ole.

It's not a good transfer window, not at all. Started off so well with AWB, but then the clueless accountant spent a month negotiating Maguiere's fee (who was considered too expensive last summer) but then ended up paying the full asking price. Where are the midfield reinforcements to help PP, where's Lukaku's replacement? And again, why are we still giving weekly wage to Darmian, Rojo, Young, Mata, Fred, Matic etc?

3/10. The muppet in me still believes we could pull some deadline day miracle and sign Dybala for example but I've learnt to expect the worst.
