These fecks have it in them to overturn this deficit home or away so I'll wait.

But not Big Virj getting turned over 3-0 at home to a lowly Italian team? Surely not?

Pretty sure their big European night wins have all come at home in the knock out phases under Klopp?

Just dawned on me that unless something changes here, it’s likely to be Jurgen’s last game under the lights of Anfield.
83 Game over. 3-0. So lazy and sloppy from Slobbo. Gifts possession in midfield, Atalanta break, Kelleher saves the first shot but the rebound is tapped in. This has been an absolute disaster of a performance.
...
People going into individual players threads and having a go. Not one player has played anywhere near their best tonight, so rather than looking for scapegoats perhaps keep that in mind everyone.
It’s going to be a grim night on the main forum, but this is the poorest we’ve been for a very long time. It’s going to take some coming back from not just in terms of the tie but the season.
...
Congratulations to Atalanta. They were brilliant.

We were dire.
Crowd couldn't give a feck, players couldn't give a feck, pathetic and embarrassing.

Yeah but I can easily see them winning 3 nil away. Don't let it ruin tonight, just not going to count any chickens yet.

Grim with a capital G
Absolute fecking disgrace. One of our worst performances under Jurgen by some distance.
Pick the bones out of that shite.

Embarrassing
One of the most bizarre performances I've seen in decades of watching us, a European quarter final and we've not even tried. Absolutely bizarre.

There were worse performances last season but given the context, european quarter final and the strength of our team, at home etc it's gotta be the worst game of Jurgen's time here. Disgustingly bad.
think Jurgen got that massively wrong tonight. Not that it matters when the players serve up that steaming pile. Our season is on the brink of falling apart now
Quite simply, fecking PATHETIC.
Diabolical. Genuinely a bit embarrassed after that.
Worst performance of the season by some distance, 3-0 is the least Atalanta deserved really. There was none of usual belief, either on the pitch or in the stands, that we could turn it round tonight.

Our confidence looks shot to bits, the season is collapsing right before our eyes.

The United games look to have broken us.

Not celebrating yet. Would just be like these cnuts to go and win 4-0 over there. Remember when we thought they were dead and buried against Barca in the CL. (Granted they had home advantage in the 2nd leg)

Delighted with that result.

Maybe it's my PTSD speaking but I still expect them to turn it around. Hopefully not though.

That said wither way it hampers their title ambitions as if they want to stay in the Europa league they will have to put a hell of a shift in again which might make them slip up in the league.

I feel like the only person who knew, the second Dembele fluffed that sitter for 4-0, that they were obviously turning that tie around.

The first half decent team they have played all competition and they get spanked at home. At least they won’t be winning an European trophy in Dublin

The weirdest thing about those posts is how relatively grounded they sound. That's not very Rawkish
I think lack of success is what drives a fanbase to insanity. See liverpool over the last 20 odd years and us over the last decade or so, slowly sliding further and further into madness. Having had some success recently would make you a bit more sane, I think.

They actually had a very good team back then and not just riding a spiral of insane amount of luck and momentum due to circumstances like the media eulogy of Klopp and the injuries of several declining first-team players that I think they are most likely better off without. I will whisper it quietly since I still rate Klopp, but I think they have blown their load way too early this year and they will collapse pretty severely from here on in. Their results have just been too good to be sustainable with so average performances from so many seemingly average footballers. And I don't think average is harsh. I doubt half of the squad in the Carabao Cup final even will spend most of their career in the Premier League

Surely won’t be long before they kid themselves that the time is right for Klopp to leave and the club needs a new manager for the next step

Being shit makes people paranoid, bitter and hateful. This forum essentially turned into RAWK without the poetry over the past few years, with the constant ref conspiracy theories and victim complex

You would think so, but then you can have a look over at Blue Moon if you want to be proven wrong

Special mention to the bedwetters in the half time thread - oh no they were right to be worried! Some of these players need a right kick in their arses for those 'performances' tonight.
Likely Klopp’s last night under the lights and it’s hard to think of many worse performances under the great man. An absolute shitshow and it will take an amazing effort to progress from here. Just got to hope it doesn’t derail the season. We go again on Sunday but the players looked out on their feet at times.
Klopp left it late to get his biggest tactical schooling.
Can not play like that at the top level and expect to win. Absolutely horrendous. Brain fart after brain fart in midfield. Yard off the pace all over.
Not sure we've ever played together before.......
feck me what an utter embarrassment that was, got schooled.
Wow. They were excellent. A truly fearless performance. We were truly tepid.
About as horrid as anything you have seen. Absolutely terrible.¨

Season over? Starting to look like it.
Far too fecking complacent. Thought they were going to piss it didn't they.

Chasing three goals away in Italy, absolutely the worst position to be in. Zero chance with defending like that.
feckin hell!

someone please explain that to me.

Scamacca?!?!?! Really?
The incoming manager will be crossing a few names off the squad list after that. Some of them players need to ask themselves if they are good enough to play for Liverpool FC. Joke of a performance
We've looked completely devoid since St Patricks Day at the Mancs. This is pathetic and our season, unless some miracle happens let's be honest, is over.
...
Atalanta were fantastic.
No diving, no time wasting, no cheating. Just good football well executed.

We were pitiful. I don't see how we turn this around.
...
Fine every one of them for that performance
Utterly speechless. Can't begin to comprehend how poor that was. Sickening that's likely to be our last European home game under Jurgen.
Jurgen had his kecks pulled down there, got what we deserved with that performance and lineup.
The wheels have come off. I am sure there will be few to talk sense to us bed wetters shortly.
Damn.

Joseph Goseph might actually be legally braindead.

Salah might actually be finished.
Looking forward to TAA, Allison, Jones, Jota, Robertson playing regularly. Not because their replacements played bad, but because we were at our best this season with all of those, plus they will be fresh, and if no EL that will help further for the title chase
Needs a Barca style comeback but now away from home

Trent
Robertson
Jota
Salah

PACE PACE PACE second leg or no chance
Hate when it feels like the whole season has come off the rails in the space of a few days.

I hoped the United game would give them a bit of a kick up the arse.

On to the next.

Agree with you but Klopp should know better.
Never underestimate an Italian team and especially a wily fox like Gasperini.
Excellent study of the Liverpool team from him.
