From around 24 hours ago redcafe wouldn't load at all. Eventually I decided to test a proxy, and the site works perfectly.
Is my IP banned?

Try bringing up the command prompt by going to your start menu, type 'cmd' and wait for the search to bring up the right option, then right click on it and choose "run as administrator", then try the command above again

I might be wrong, but I think that may get you past the error message you're getting

Clicking start then typing cmd did nothing unfortunately.

It successfully flushed the DNS resolver cache, but it's changed nothing for me.
Also, when I use a different computer in the house it's exactly the same situation with redcafe.

Well it's definitely reaching redcafe.net. Check the proxy settings on your browser.

Firefox: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Settings

Should be set to system settings, or all blank in general (unless you have some weird configuration). Then fire up Internet Explorer:

Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings

Make sure the proxy server section is disabled.

----

Try loading up the Caf's IP address: RedCafe.net : The Leading Manchester United Forum - does this work?

If it works it's a DNS problem but usually these fix themselves over time (a few hours should do it). There's a geeky and extreme way to do it but usually it's best to wait if you have no idea what you are doing: Error loading websites - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

It's set on "no proxy".

Yep, was also disabled.

The link works, but only because it goes through the proxy. If I just put 193.27.1.42 (http:// included) into the internet search bar thing I get the same message I'd get if I was completely offline.

This happened to me last year (This same week actually, I remember because it was the same week MJ died), I tried everything suggested here but to no avail, then suddenly it started working again

How long has it been like this? I'd suggest just bearing with it a couple of days and if it carries on getting in touch with your ISP.

Same happened to me a few months back. Some sites, including BBC were not working. My ISP told me it was due to maintenance on their side.

It's been 2 days now. Yeah I'll give it a couple more days before I call my ISP.

BBC is working fine. Seems to just be Redcafe, oddly enough.

Double checked just to be sure; your IP range is not blocked at this end.

Either a problem with your router, or more likely an ISP problem
