Two unproven youngsters, one who isn’t even a winger. Mata kills the right hand side of the attack when he plays, Sanchez has hardly played there in years and a good squad player.

This making do approach is one of the huge issues we have had over last few years. We need someone who specialises in that position not players who can do a job there.

RB is another position where we seem intent to make do, improve those two positions, sign a CB and this is a completely different team.
Completely agree with this. We've been making do in this position for years and it needs to stop. As an attacking force we are unbalanced as the majority of it comes down our left. Defensively we invite teams to attack our right because we have no decent threat to occupy the opposition's left full back.

What about Son? I know its hard to buy from Spurs but I think he is the perfect fit for United.

Mbappe will be dream come true but chance to buy him are 00.00%. Will raise to 00.01% if we appointed Zidane as manager.
Jadon Sancho has a great talent and he is one of the best youngstars at the moment. He will cost around 100m, such a risk for teen but we said the same for Mbappe 2 years ago.

Douglas Costa has a magnificent skills but he is inconsistent. Still look a good choise for us and that is only because we didnt have natural right winger in the squad.

Nicolas Pepe looks like a really good player. I only saw his YouTube highlights but he seems to have all the traits needed to succeed in the EPL. He is very fast, strong and an excellent dribbler for his height. His goal stats are skewed because he takes all the penalties but even without the goals, he looks like just what we need for our right wing. He reminds me of Mane or Bale with the way he carries the ball.
He's a bit of a highlight player imo, I've watched Lille a handful of times this season and he didn't really stand out. Could've been unlucky timing though.

Greenwood could comfortably play right forward, he will probably be introduced into the first team into the wings until he gets strong enough to lead the line.

There's this lad at FIorentina. Chiesa or something? I've only watched a handful of games this season, but he looks really, really good.

Have we actually been linked to Sancho?

Also I have been thinking, Eriksen's contract runs out at the end of next season so perhaps we could lure him to Old Trafford using Mauricio Pochettino? He plays on he right for Spurs doesn't he? I know he drifts inside lots but still.
Nobody has been linked to Sancho.

I'm sure when the time comes though we'll definitely be in the queue. From Manchester, flairy dribbler who assists and scores goals? What's not to like.

Eriksen tends to play more on the right side purely for crossing, but I wouldn't call him a winger. He's more of an attacking midfielder who drifts out there, but like how Pogba prefers the left.

If we want to keep using the same type of player out there as Lingard and Mata then Eriksen would be a big upgrade on both and would actually add some crossing ability out there as well. I would say we stood a better chance of getting him if Zidane becomes the manager though.

DOF may have some input here. We actually do have what we used to call traditional wingers (left footed player playing on the left or right and right to hug the touchline giving width and crossing). The advent of attacking full backs has made this position almost obsolete. Personally I'd love to see a traditional winger back at OT. Perhaps if Ole stays he may agree.

We need a right sided player that can beat a man like martial does. It's going to get to the point like last night that most teams know we will attack down our left and will double up on martial. If we can get someone in on the right with similar ability of beating a man and with speed or someone that could cut in on there left and attack teams this would give us a cutting edge to breaking down teams that will sit back against us, bit like newcastle in 1st half last night. If only we had someone like that on the right.Think Douglas Costa could give us this.

The entire right wing needs revamping. My preference is to get right sided forward with pace and finishing ability with the addition of pacy RB that's good on the overlap and good crosser.

I really like Sancho but wouldn't mind to see Greenwood tested there because he can score goals and play across the whole front line. Infact if can get a top RB the need for out and out winger will be less and there could be a position waiting for Greenwood in the front three.
But the position must be addressed. If the club has faith in Chong/Greenwood etc I wouldn't be against Douglas Costa for a few years whilst they gain experience but we need a goal threat first. Salah would've been perfect for this team

Saw a 19yr old Nigerian called Samuel Chukwueze destroy Madrid, especially gave Marcelo and Ramos a torrid time. He played quite well against Barca too.

Has a release clause of 40 mil euros

Are we sniffing around Lozano given he looks like he's open to a PL move. I don't know what to make of him (part of me is probably scarred by Depay's form in Eredivise not meaning anything in the PL) but I've always thought he was a very tough, fast winger who can play RW properly. Anyone watched much of him?

Linked heavily with Arsenal (who tried to sign him a while back but was blocked by the home office)

That first clip would have been one of the best goals ever.

Marez is overrated. He's an entertainer, making him popular, but he doesn't contribute enough to the required defence tasks. I'd rather like e.g. Griezman or Bale.

Wow! This kid is a freak. He's a super freak, super freak.

Definitely one to keep an eye out for with that insane dribbling ability and rocket of a shot he's got. Thank God Arsenal didn't get their grubby mits on him :)

If we are unable to get Sancho then this player should be the next best option . He gives the Mane vibes in the way of taking on the players and trying to make something in each play . At 40 million euros he will be an absolute steal if he fulfils his talent . The first clip in the video where he was literally bamboozling the defenders and dancing in the box was top notch .

Suso (Milan), has always impressed me (albeit on TV), seems to have good technique, very versatile, fast and chips in with goals, however it seems he has established himself as a starter for Milan so he would'nt be easy to obtain, and of course there will be those who don't want a scouse reject !

Suddenly, there seems to be a number of good options for the RW. It's upto our scouts to get the right player in. Chiesa, Nicolas Pepe, Sancho, Douglas Costa, Samuel Chukwueze(yes, I didn't know him before yesterday :D) are all good options.

There are many options, just need to start offloading some of the deadwood. Sanchez needs to go, too much money for very little in return. Need upgrade on that side.

Missed a chance to try Sanchez on the right again today, I'd say he's 3rd choice LW while we still lack genuine width on the right, if he can't play anywhere other than the left then Ship him out and use his massive wages to entice a genuine Right sided forward, Sancho would be perfect Martial-Rashford-Sancho, mouth watering.
