Why can't City get punished for that? Pretty sure in Austria it's possible.
They are responsible for their fecking fans.

Where Crouch is a Midget.
I saw a great suggestion here earlier: making them play closed door games for home and restrict the sales of away games to their fans.

City's already established the fact they can't control their fans

Great composure from Joe Hart there. Seems like a very mature player.

They also threw coins at Rooney earlier in the game when he took a corner. Disgraceful cnuts. Fair play to Joe Hart though.

What happened after the final whistle? Sky sports said it was still kicking off but went to an ad break.

Ref should have blown the whistle there and then. Denied them the chance of equalising. Moron. (The fan, not the ref).

Why are people suggesting City be forced to play behind closed doors as a punishment for what happened today? They practically play in an empty stadium most weeks anyway.

RvP ran behind the goal to the away fans near the divider seperating the away and home fans - with the piley on Rio likes to do its easy to think he could have ended up close to the home side

Geezus that was close to his eye, like pete said it easily could have blinded him
It fits with his left eye being the one that was hit - Rio facing our fans in the left corner behind goal-line would have that side towards the City scum who were based along the touchline..

The price he'll pay for that moment of madness (talking about that pseudo fan) will not nearly enough for what he did.
If anything he unsettled the momentum his players were trying to get

I've always thought Hart was a bit of a twat, but fair play to him there, and Tevez.

Also, what did that fan think he'd actually do if he managed to get to Rio?

 Is what I was thinking. I wonder what the protocol is in such a case. Is a player allowed to defend himself if a fan attacks him physically?
I'm sure they can. Bellamy got away with slapping that restrained fan a few years ago.
