I loved the way Roy dictated games, he could speed it up when needed or slow it down, his passing was so underrated. It always seemed so simple, yet when you see how he always played forward passes and and always found a teammate, compared to some modern mids who can't do it at all consistently. I hate going to the physical aspect of his game and I think it under values his ability, but even then some of his actions dictated the game. One instance, about 45 secs into Ireland v a fancied Dutch team, he crunched Overmars in a tackle. That set the tome for the rest of the Irish team that day, who fought like demons. Another one, Utd v Arsenal, Pires and Neville had a row, Pires uncharacteristically swung his hand at Neville, obviously very angry. Next ball Keane clatters Pires, 2 mins later Wenger subbed PIres. As many remember Pires was a sublime player, Gary Nev rattled him, Keane sent him over the edge. An arsenal team minus him was a weaker team.
