Quite a few things blowing up in Belgorod. I guess the Russians are getting a small taste of their own medicine.

Or British and American people voting back Blair and Bush into the office even after they kicked off an illegal war.I guess it's like the Iraqi people being fools for voting for Saddam Hussian and being enablers.
Obviously there's too much bullshit being spread in every direction, so it'll be interesting to see how much of it is actually true. It would be fairly fecking impressive, even by Russian standards, if they launched something like this without carefully explaining the dangers of Chernobyl. Obviously, Russian troops in general are just canon fodder, but they must be well aware that if they properly feck up to the point where they cause another "incident" with radiation being spread, then the likelyhood of intervention increasesTweet

A lot of them aren't criminals. A lot of them don't even know where they are. Many are picked up off the street at gunpoint and forced to do a 'week of military training or go to jail'. They're then put on a bus, given a gun when they step off and told to join a regiment. These are mostly kids. There are stories off fighting aged men in hiding in DBR so that they don't get forcefully conscripted. Why are the Russian soldiers "as much the victims"? They are not, they are criminals. These are the same people who support Putin. And if there is no Putin any more, they will find another autocrat like him. If they had any brains they'd never vote for a KGB agent. The Russian population created Putin, they supported him while they knew that he killed and jailed all the opposition. They got the strongman they always wanted. They are not "victims" in my opinion, they are the enablers, they are as much responsible as Putin for all these deaths and destruction in Ukraine.
This makes no sense at all. So what is Abramovich going to do if he is sanctioned. Refuse to do the peace talks? Be less peaceful? What? Who gives a sht if your enemy is sanctioned. 'Oh Mr Zelensky I know we have a lot to discuss but I am not feeling to good these days. Its all these sanctions. Can you tell Biden to stop the sanctioning so we can talk nicely?' I mean wtf?Apparently Zelensky asked Biden to hold off sanctioning Abramovich, as he believes he is aiding in the peace talks. This may be a serious mistake. Abramovich is loyal to Putin only, and is probably Putin's most important oligarch.
Is Abramovich even an enemy of Ukraine? You just assume that because he is an Russian oligarch, but under Putin's rule he was pushed to the sidelines and is far from being "his most important oligarch", while on the other hand he has family in Ukraine. This makes no sense at all. It's being propped up by Russian reserves currently. There was a boost when Putin put forward his plan to make countries pay in Roubles as well. Time will be the most important factor with the sanctions as they are now. They aren't complete, so it's more of a slow bleed of Russian reserves (not that slow).Ruble is touching 83 per dollar. How come it's not crashed?
Russian Oligarch = Putin puppet. There is no other kind except the ones that wanted out and were either jailed or poisoned. Abramovich talks for Putin. Why do you think Putin allows him to go to the peace talks. If Putin ever allowed an Oligarch to play both sides or not be under his control he is fkd. Then they will all start serving their on interests. Thats why he takes them out. If Zelensky thinks Abramovich is his friend then Im lost for wordsIs Abramovich even an enemy of Ukraine? You just assume that because he is an Russian oligarch, but under Putin's rule he was pushed to the sidelines and is far from being "his most important oligarch", while on the other hand he has family in Ukraine.
So he has personal interest in peace for Ukraine and still some access to the Kremlin (though definitely not as much as in the 90s), which makes him a very good option to help with peace talks.

You explain quite well why Abramovich doesn't distance himself more from Putin, he simply wants to survive.Russian Oligarch = Putin puppet. “Soft spot”.You explain quite well why Abramovich doesn't distance himself more from Putin, he simply wants to survive.
Yet he isn't part of the closest circle around Putin anymore (that would be the oil/gas mafia, and he was essentially forced to sell his stakes in that business).
I won't say that Abramovich is a good guy or that he isn't involved in criminal activities to rob the Russian people, but I think one should be able to acknowledge that he might still have a soft spot for Ukrainian people.
The Russian army did this. Nothing to do with Ukraine.Tweet

It would make no sense if this was a false flag operation. The Russian army did this. Nothing to do with Ukraine.
I like how everybody is thinking it must be a false flag because there is no way Russia can possible be THIS incompetent that two Ukraine attack helicopers can fly over not just 40km of occupied Ukranian territory with all the air defense units they have but also 40km of Russian territory with all the fixed air defense and radar systems they must surely have. Then they've also managed to return unscathed after the attack? Two slow af helicopters??? We'd of heard of it by now if shot down. The Russian army did this. Nothing to do with Ukraine.
Do you have a source for that mate? The Russian army did this. Nothing to do with Ukraine.
Also, why would you need a false flag when you're already at war? If it happened before Putin invaded I think the chances of it being Putin would be eponentially higher but as it is, I think Ukraine did it. Unless the Russians know something about false flags that no one else does (how to promote support for a war that is already happening and heavily supported internally according to polls). It would be like the Gulf of Tonkin happening in 1970 (or something like that, if you don't buy that was a false flag).I like how everybody is thinking it must be a false flag because there is no way Russia can possible be THIS incompetent that two Ukraine attack helicopers can fly over not just 40km of occupied Ukranian territory with all the air defense units they have but also 40km of Russian territory with all the fixed air defense and radar systems they must surely have. ...but then the Russians are like "Yeh Ukraine did this, we ARE this incompetent".
It would make no sense if this was a false flag operation.
Impact on the Russian army operations is too big. PR value is to small (no dead children...). Helicopter attack proves propaganda to be fake that Russia destroyed Ukraine's entire air force.
False flag would more likely be a kind of terrorist attack with civilian victims.

Haha, relax guys I was taking the piss out of the Russian diplomatic playbookDo you have a source for that mate?
based on what exactly? I think it might be safe to acknowledge that murderers are also capable of love. So what. Why even make the statement? Means nothing. He is Putins puppet. Fk him.You explain quite well why Abramovich doesn't distance himself more from Putin, he simply wants to survive.

He's also by far the highest profile oligarch and therefore the one Putin needs to be most wary of. He can't just lock him up or have him killed like he does the others, he is Russia's face to the West. You explain quite well why Abramovich doesn't distance himself more from Putin, he simply wants to survive.

Not really sure I believe that last line given we know he knew about the intention to invade Ukraine and he sought to profit from the invasion by going into that Steel company. That sounds like a cold hearted arsehole looking to make a wad of cash from the war.You explain quite well why Abramovich doesn't distance himself more from Putin, he simply wants to survive.

Helicopters are quite effective in that kind of attack because they can fly underneath the radar systems and use the terrain to hide. The US used Apaches in the first wave of Desert Storm for the same reason.I like how everybody is thinking it must be a false flag because there is no way Russia can possible be THIS incompetent that two Ukraine attack helicopers can fly over not just 40km of occupied Ukranian territory with all the air defense units they have but also 40km of Russian territory with all the fixed air defense and radar systems they must surely have. I'm inclined to agree although don't really have a clue at this point. I'm just laughing at the lose/lose situation for Russia either way. Also, why would you need a false flag when you're already at war? I wonder if they could embed a few people within Russia. Like a 100/200 people hidden amongst the population. A few drone pilots. A few grenades, a few rocket launchers. Could cause a sht load of chaos. Not to the population. But lob a grenade on the major train tracks. Take out the power stations/gas plants/food warehouses etc by drone or rocket launchers. Maybe it will turn the population against them but it is a war and not taking action is as much of a risk.Tweet
