Liar!Lukaku didn't win Europa league.
With glorious Oleesque finishLiar!
He did. Last season.
For Sevilla...
Looks he hits it as he moves his foot forward before pulling it back. He has the worst coordination I’ve ever seen in a professional footballer. Same reason he trips over the ball and wildly swings at it sometimes.I keep watching that to try and figure out how he manages to make the ball accelerate away from him when he's trying to bring it under control.
He's one of the most limited footballers i've ever seen.
Maybe not, but that hardly matters.Could Martial do what Lukaku has done at Inter?
Me too. Could try different game plan with Lukaku but Martial is always 1 dimensional.Yeah I know that.
I'm not blaming Martial for being here. Neither am I saying that Solskjaer should have kept a player that didn't want to be here.
I'm just saying that I prefer Lukaku to Martial, think that Lukaku would have had a bigger impact on this young team and would have liked it if things could have turned out differently, which obviously they couldn't.
If Ashley Young can do it in the Italian League, Martial will tear it up, becomes one of the biggest stars in Italy.Wasn't a fan of Lukaku and was happy we sold him and gave Martial a chance to be our No.9. Objectively speaking though, Lukaku would rank higher than Martial in a top 50/100 players list.
Could Martial do what Lukaku has done at Inter? I very much doubt that.
I agree Lukaku wasn’t suited for us and we are better off without him in the first 11 but as you say I also agree Lukaku is one of the best finishers in the world, period. And before that season Martial scored ten premiership goals, before that nine and this season?? One.
And before that season Rashford scored ten premiership goals, before that seven, and this season? Two.
And I don't care who he scored against, does scoring against Bournemouth, Brighton etc not count anymore then? Because of so you can scrap some of Martials goal tally too!
Seriously, how anyone can argue that Lukaku is a poor goalscorer is beyond me, he is a goalscorer through and through, we're better off without him here as he did t want to be at the club, but don't question his record as it's brilliant.
Cavani is a proper striker, makes the runs constantly, looking for the near post runs, definitely a step up from what we have in that regards.Martial is a better footballer then Lukaku but not as good a finisher. Comes down to what you want I guess. Neither have great movement and I thought Cavani was an upgrade on both in that respect when he came on yesterday, we immediately looked livelier. I’d start him fo a few games.
CorrectSelling lukaku wasnt a mistake but not replacing him was
No, it doesn't.Looks like a curious decision in hindsight. I remember how folks were going on about his technical limitations affecting our play but its not like Ole had grand plans for our football. I suspect some man management could have gone some way in keeping the big guy around.
What have we gained with his departure that makes it a "good decision"?Good decision to sell, bad decision to not replace
Curious timing.Looks like a curious decision in hindsight. I remember how folks were going on about his technical limitations affecting our play but its not like Ole had grand plans for our football. I suspect some man management could have gone some way in keeping the big guy around.
Look at our counter attacking play it's improved massivelyWhat have we gained with his departure that makes it a "good decision"?
Really? I think that's overstating things surely. I think it's more the team has honed its counter attacking edge further. Lukaku was no slouch.Look at our counter attacking play it's improved massively
One less moany Twat in the squad. What have we gained with his departure that makes it a "good decision"?
Top scorers in the league for a start. What have we gained with his departure that makes it a "good decision"?
People can keep saying this until they're blue in the face but it still won't make it true, whether you like his plan or not is up to you but he very clearly has an idea of how he wants to play and Lukaku would stick out like a sore thumb in this team.Looks like a curious decision in hindsight. I remember how folks were going on about his technical limitations affecting our play but its not like Ole had grand plans for our football. I suspect some man management could have gone some way in keeping the big guy around.
Spent the money on improving the defence (whether you think its value well spent is a different question but has definitely improved that area)What have we gained with his departure that makes it a "good decision"?
