Brazil were highly touted favourites. England I’d say have a better squad for this World Cup given France’s injury problems. France have feck all depth in their squad, at least this tournament
Brazil are nearly always favourites in some capacity. They had a strong front line but suffered the same problems they’ve usually had in recent years. France were largely disregarded because of a dip in form prior to the WC, but it’s what happens at the big tournaments that counts.

In every match France has played this World Cup there have been large periods, even against Australia, where they looked properly ropey. However, the French find a way to stay in the game during those periods. Then capitalise when their players of real quality have chances to do something. For the French fancy football is an extra. They just know how to get the job done.

He did well to create space to work but yeah the pass was fudged and took a big deflection

AG has been much better than him

France won't be able to play like this against Argentina just because of Messi, somebody Morocco and England don't have

They get some lucky goals these cnuts. Yes, I know the more you attack the more luck you get but two goals from lucky deflections for the assists is jammy as feck.
Both their goals vs England had a bit of luck about them too.

You make your own luck and all that though.

Harsh scoreline on Morocco more than held their own against the hot favourites France in this match.

France v Argentina is the "right" final. But shame for Morocco who can hold their heads up high.

Konate man of the match. :D

Their second didn’t. Unless there’s something I’m forgetting. Great cross and a great header.

Edit: oooh shit yeah it came of Maguire’s shoulder my mistake.

Is it very unrealistic to sign Mbappe in the summer? Agent Varane?

Really hope Argentina win the final so the Southgate apologists don't get to use the 'we went out to the eventual winners' as an excuse.

It’s not a coincidence that both our best CB are in the final of the WC.

Yeah, was probably heading straight to Pickford otherwise.
