Should pitches have circular corners to prevent time wasting?

Let's just make the pitch a circle, then let's see teams try and shield the ball.
That's it but let's not stop there. Round pitch, 4 goals, 2 balls, 8 referees. And it all takes place inside a cage.

2 teams enter but only 1 team leaves.

We could have trapdoors that randomly open/close in the corners into something like a snake pit, that would surely stop time wasting
OMG yes! CPZ’s like robot wars back in the day. Have vengeful refs in each corner with various weapons, if you enter the CPZ Mike Dean will slice you up, Michael Oliver will blast you or Jon Moss will tell you to stop taking the piss.....

They could introduce a ‘Kill Zone’ around the corner flags. Let’s say a 3 meter radius, last 15 mins. UFC rules.

Simple to stamp out - before a player can shield the ball, they must have touched it otherwise a free kick to the opponent.
Stops shit-house defenders barging attackers out of the way in a manner that would instantly be a free kick anywhere else on the pitch.

You want to block the ball? You have to touch it first!

And there's also a lion on the loose.

Basketball is the media darling sport.

In close games the amount of fouls and timeouts is 'terrible basketball'. Nobody bats an eye.

Football needs to sort out VAR and diving and playacting before anything else.

I like this idea. It logically follows that we should have offside circles, instead of a line. Any attacker outside of the circumference of the circle of the last defender will now be ruled offside. This should clear up any lingering confusion about the offside rule too.

I'm trying to imagine Werner trying to stay level with the offside circle. It's glorious.

At the end of matches, often a team will get the ball and shield it in the corner. I think we can all agree this is terrible football. To prevent this on a much ignored part of the pitch, there could be a curved corner like in ice hockey to prevent the player from doing this. It can also have form part of the new corner circle to take corners from.
Nope. I think it's brilliant to be honest. It's probably the only time in football nowadays where players are allowed to be aggressive and a bit of pushing and shoving is allowed.

In a world where clubs are trying to come up with super leagues, FIFA is thinking of holding world cup twice a year and several transformative changes being contemplated for football, you are the hero we need to come up with solutions for the real problems of football.

I'd suggest several floors, so the attacker could tackle from above.

There might also be some tunnels on the pitch.

The intent is noble but the execution is not quite there. The way to do it would be like this :

Now imagine someone trying to shield the ball with that massive old trafford slope? We'd have an instant advantage in Fergie time.
That circle could be the only part of the pitch where you were allowed to tackle with straight legs and studs first, just to get rid of the time wasting cnuts.

I want tigers and lions on a leash in every corner. Said leash is losened by a bit everytime the ball is held for 3 seconds.

Latching on to this. What if you made a corridor of lines along the touchline that a player, in case of time-wasting, had to follow in order to get to the designated time-wasting area in the corner? That would make it easier for the opposition to track his route to the corner and thus be able to intercept him before reaching the corner.

Ball and player is represented by the short line at the top.
