Social Media Justice: A "Karen" faces consequences for threatening a Black man with cops

Why do these people always have this same look? Like I don’t mean white, I can’t really put a finger on what it is, but these people always have something about their facial structure/expressions that’s always common to them.
I think it's something to do with the structure of their complexion. This sort of milky layer on their flesh. I can't quite find the word for it. It's probably something they inherited from their racist parents or developed in their racist bubble of racist friends. I'm guessing that those people were white.

But, aye, they've all got that air of entitlement around them. The sort of person who invades another country and (in the words of the Great Dylan Moran) says to the natives "You, you and you. feck off, we're having Tiffin".

They all look deeply miserable, the kind of misery that happens when you live your life with so much hate inside you. As if their brains are vacant apart from a combination of bigotry and entitlement.

Why oh why can't this shit happen when I'm walking by. Would fecking love to get my hands on that generic little cnut. I would literally make him eat his shoe.

That bullying video is horrible. Great to see Rashford and Lingard standing up for and supporting the victim.

It's rat culture. Wee rat cnut bragging about his trainers with his wee rat missus chiming in every now and then thinking that they're the modern version of Bonnie and Clyde. The sort of folk who grow up to have a union flag as their profile pic on Facebook.

Scumers, I call them, fecking scumbags with no use to the world besides being scumbags..

He had been fired and his own family reported him to the police (arrested)

It's the sneering, "I'm better than you" look that their face naturally forms.

What do you call the male version of racist Karen?

"A white Minneapolis venture capitalist's office lease was terminated after a viral video showed him questioning black entrepreneurs using the gym in a building of which they were all tenants, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Wednesday.

Tom Austin, the managing partner of F2 Group, threatened to call the police on the group of black men on Tuesday. The men are the owners of Top Figure, a Minneapolis-based social media and branding agency. They work out of a WeWork coworking space in the building and are allowed to use the amenities.

Austin ultimately called the building manager, who confirmed the men have a lease in the building. He told the Tribune that his actions led to his company losing its lease in the building."

Bike Tyson?

That's just political theatre to try and appease the masses. They're trying to nullify the memeabilitty of this particular case by appropriating people's anger. It's performative bullshit to mask his other draconian neo-lib policies and how they contributed to the current climate.

I dread to think how I’d handle being in a situation like that.

It’s utterly enraging just seeing the video.

This is f*cking abhorrent.

If somebody fails to understand what white privilege and 'Karen' means, show them this video.

'Karens' exist like a perfect storm at the intersection between white, middle class, self-righteously racist and female. They get the benefit of the doubt from authority figures because of their ethnicity, they get their idea of social hierarchy from their social status, they get their sense of innate superiority from their views on race, and they get their feelings of impunity from knowing their gender protects them from violence by most right-thinking men.

Just look at the way she goads the victims with all four of those aspects. She knows she can get away with what she's saying due to a combination of every reason stated above.

The people she's abusing are terrified to react because they know they're being confronted by Super Mario on an invincibility star. The way they run away from her on 41 seconds is very telling.

Is it wrong that my hatred of cyclists has just automatically associated them all with Bike Tyson?

Perhaps by riding a 12yr olds toy he subconsciously feels entitled to play rough with other kids...

What a prat.

It looks like a pretty wide staircase to me.

Sad thing is this clearly wasn't the first time Karen went off on her. I'd question whether it's true karenning or just plain old racism.

How do you suggest a person of colour react if faced with a similar situation?

After she's exhausted all the threats of violence and abject racism, she finally brings out the big guns... "WHO WEARS BLACK WHEN IT'S SUNNY?"

Fecking killed me

Bloody hell. That’s so disgusting. Does anyone think Trump has emboldened people like her? Or has that sort of overt racist abuse been going on all the time regardless?
Trump certainly hasn't helped. But the level of toxic vitriol and how easily it comes out of her piehole leads me to think this ain't her first rodeo. Fecking disgusting is right.

How do you suggest a person of colour react if faced with a similar situation?
Wouldn't blame someone for knocking her the feck out. But I think the people in the video reacted in the best possible manner by walking away. Those poor kids don't have a chance, do they?

the saddest part of the video is that it seems (based on no real shock from the one getting abused) it was not the first time she had gotten that sort of abuse
Hmm, actually think it's the opposite. Her lack of a reaction was likely cos from shock. Prolly thinking "wtf is this crazy old bitch on about?" The south bay is a pretty laid-back area with generally friendly people.
