I’ll never want my team to lose regardless of the consequence.
Except there is feck all gaurantee that ditching Ole actually solves any of the problems we've had since 2014...Yes I would obviously, but he has shown no signs of doing that. Ego has got nothing to do with it. No it isn't a chapter in the art of war.
Would you prefer to lose 3 points now in order to get good results more points and entertaining football in the future, or win now and get less wins, less points playing mediocre mid table football till the end of the season.
Embarrassing that.I would also add about the idiots who have been criticizing Bruno Fernandes (our most productive and important player) as soon as he had a few games of not affecting the scoreline. The players aren't robots, they can get tired and they can have bad games. However as fans, we need to look at the bigger picture and stop analyzing things on a game by game basis. The stuff some posted about Bruno was ridiculious, from "stat padder" to a "fraud" who should be sold.
Emotional football fans. Have you seen RAWK or the Spurs and Leicester forums? Someone on FoxesTalk said he ‘wouldn’t mind if Kane died’ One of the most disgusting and disgraceful things I’ve ever read. RedCafe is far better than that. The negativity only stems from poor performances on the pitch.A consequence of the failed newbie system in recent years and mods evidently giving up on dealing with the excessive negativity. The United forum has turned into a slightly more moderated version of twitter.
Someone also called him a bluffer in the matchday thread. Someone called Bruno Fernandes a bluffer. Bruno Fernandes, our main man for the last 10 months.Embarrassing that.
Do you ole out guys need a fecking new thread everytime we lose ? Apparently you doWhat's this with Ole in guys. Do you guys really need a fecking new thread everytime we win.
It made me wonder, for a split second, if I was crazy for rating him so highly still. There is criticism and there is pure madness.Someone also called him a bluffer in the matchday thread. Someone called Bruno Fernandes a bluffer. Bruno Fernandes, our main man for the last 10 months.
I genuinely couldn’t believe it. I spoke about emotion in another post in this thread but that was absolutely mental. Fernandes has a genuine argument for being the mentally strongest and most productive player (since he came) we’ve had since SAF, maybe bar Zlatan. It made me wonder, for a split second, if I was crazy for rating him so highly still. There is criticism and there is pure madness.
I dunno, this comes off a bit pretentious. It's not hard imagining a scenario where fans would be willing to sacrifice short term pain for long term gain.Right I understand when we have a bad result all the Ole out are in sticking the boot in and vice versa when we have a good result.
I’ll start by saying I think he isn’t the right manager and feel we should get rid but I was happy with the performance today and delighted with the result yet on my break in work earlier I wasn’t logged in and was reading posts and it seems a lot where upset that we won because Ole kept his job.
Remember at the end of the day players, legends owners etc don’t matter you support the club and want them to do well, yes I know what people where thinking if we lose it might be better long term but I have never wanted United to lose and never will.
Im sorry I had to make a thread but I feel it’s a big problem here. Yes everyone loves Ole and him performing well would see everyone happy and I’m sure everyone wants him as our manager winning trophies.
But you support Manchester United so remember that I can’t believe some weren’t happy with the win(I know it’s a small minority) but still.
ego. Just BS as per.The problem with the ‘Ole In’ crowd is it doesn’t seem to matter how bad we’ve been all it takes is one win & they come out with all the “I told you so” bravado. If we go on a 10 game winning streak then I’ll listen, but one game, do me a favour.
The ‘Ole Out’ side were doing this during our good form towards the end of last season, they all crawled out of the woodwork when we started dropping points.
It’s just ego. Some people want to be proven right more than they want United to do well.
Personally, I want him out, after 2 years I think it’s clear to see he’s not the man to take us forward if we want to be challenging. I’ll give him credit where it’s due though, yesterday was a good day & Ole has done a good job at the rebuild. The next manager will benefit from the work he’s done & could use it as a foundation to take us to the next level.
You have to.keep in mind that apart from WUM s there are are some clueless gullible posters who get carried away by what they read on twitter and other cesspit platforms.Someone also called him a bluffer in the matchday thread. Someone called Bruno Fernandes a bluffer. Bruno Fernandes, our main man for the last 10 months.
True, but then I think, surely they can’t be influenced by the Penandes or Varchester crap they read on social media? And even so, to come on here and constantly have a go at Bruno. Why not someone else if they want to come with that spurious nonsense rather than the best player? His thread after the Arsenal game was a disgrace. You have to.keep in mind that apart from WUM s there are are some clueless gullible posters who get carried away by what they read on twitter and other cesspit platforms.
Like the idiots who believed that brexit FC story.
Why would someone with more than 2 braincells bother to argue with such freaks?
Just ignore and move on.
Unless we can turn back time and bring Ferguson back, there is no guarantee we will become better. I seriously doubt the manager is the only issue. And he has improved us. After lockdown, United were one of the best, if bot the best, team in the league, which secured a third place, and we are bow competing in the CLYes I would obviously, but he has shown no signs of doing that. Ego has got nothing to do with it. No it isn't a chapter in the art of war.

Anyone that would want their team to get beaten are not true supporters. If the manager or coaches are not good enough, it will prove in time by results. I think Ole has to get top 4 or he will be moved out. If the board think that this can not be reached, then they will take action.IMORight I understand when we have a bad result all the Ole out are in sticking the boot in and vice versa when we have a good result.

He has not criticised those not willing to give Ole more time. His post clearly says he would like Ole replaced as Manager at some point based on the current evidence. Its about fans willing the team to lose in order for the manager to be changed.I know, I was just trying to point out that it might not be "a disgrace" as the OP implied for a supporter to not want to give Ole any more time.
Yes. First half of 2018-19 in the midst of the Mourinho meltdown. You had two camps: Love Mourinho and keep him at all costs and Hate Mourinho and sack him at all costs. Both camps were equally as vociferous and at times, abusive. Now, we’re divided but it’s less aggressive as the general consensus, while there’s obviously a few Ole inners too, is that we love Ole for his achievements as a player and his personality, but he has to go. That’s how I feel anyway.Has the CAF been this divided before?

The problem with the ole out crowd is we could go on a ten game winning streak, record breaking away winning streak but as soon as we lose or draw it’s a “seeee! I knew it was coming, we never keep winning”The problem with the ‘Ole In’ crowd is it doesn’t seem to matter how bad we’ve been all it takes is one win & they come out with all the “I told you so” bravado. Yh I agree with this - with Mou it was way more of an even split. It kind of makes sense because he has the pedigree and track record and won some trophies so believing in him when we struggled was a lot easier than believing in Ole. There are trolls on either side and it goes without saying we should never celebrate United losing.Yes. First half of 2018-19 in the midst of the Mourinho meltdown. And we lose matches with individuals brainfarts! We would all love Ole to turn the corner, get we playing like City or Liverpool at their best, but we all know its not going to happen long term. I think we win games with individual brilliance, not with coaching or tactic as we are as different as chalk and cheese within days of the last match. However, to wish we had lost when we won is ridiculous.
The forum is fan fecking tastic. The best platform out there to discuss not only United and football but many other things as well. Personally, I find this place to be awesome. May it never ever turn into RAWK and may United get back to the very top of the prem asap. Could not care who the manager is as long as we win truly Big things.that’s a good analogy.
I stay away from Twitter. Certainly don’t look at anything football related.
the forum has gone downhill very quickly over the past few years.
Yeah. One thing Ole clearly has going for himis a good relationship with the players, as the enhanced performance levels whenever it seems like he’s going to be fired shows. However, we can’t be stuck in a perennial top 4 battle. This phrase is used a lot but we can’t become the next Arsenal. If he doesn’t get 3rd with 80+ points and goals this season, he must go I’m afraid.Yh I agree with this - with Mou it was way more of an even split. Most people, myself included, who think Ole has had copious time and backing but hasn't done enough are obviously hoping we don't need to sack him and he does turn it round. It's not that we just want Ole gone for a new shiny toy, it's that is just seems so clear that he isn't the long or even medium term solution. We are so grimly predictable as a team, even yesterday's result made me a few quid on a bet because whenever we are against the wall (i.e reports come out during a bad run about Ole's job) we rally. We will now sustain some decent form for a bit before another nose dive and then do the same again. I can even see us getting 4th again but the gap to the top won't be much different despite outspending pretty much everyone and you have to then compare to other managers in the league who are far outperforming where they should be and ask questions of Ole and the coaching team.
Agreed. I think RedCafe is without a doubt the best forum to discuss football. It doesn't suffer from the same upvote/downvote system as Reddit, which chokes football discussion because opinions people don't agree with get hidden due to downvotes which makes it an echo chamber. The Newbie system is also good for filtering out the posters who never attempt to contribute anything to the discussion, without being too harsh if you see someone who's still a Newbie after over 1,000 posts then they're likely not a good poster. The forum is fan fecking tastic. Supposedly...People are entitled to their own opinions but I saw a poster yesterday saying he wouldn't enjoy the win if it meant Solskjaer kept his job. Whatever side of the fence you're on if you're not taking enjoyment out of United wins, and actively wanting us to lose, I'm not sure I'd consider you a fan, personally.
Alright, Swiss ToniImagine you love a girl. She's hot and beautiful and everything you wanted. You've been with her for years but now she's put on a lot of weight and is no longer as hot as she once was. Now you can react in two ways. Either you will continuously badger her into getting back in shape and be frustrated with her when she won't do that. Or you will accept that this is who she is now and be satisfied with it or make your peace with it and continue loving her.
Now imagine the girl is Utd and the person you blame for this situation (Ole, Pogba etc) is the weight she's put on.
I know, he’s been one of our best players so far this season. Mental. The flip flopping on Rashford here is insane quite frankly.
Agree. I support Manchester United I will be elated if they win and sad if they lose. The manager is an employee of Manchester United, if he does a great job he gets the plaudits, if he is bad he gets the sack, the same as any other job.I’m sorry but how can you call yourself a supporter if you want the team to lose? It doesn’t matter if you want Ole in or out the team comes first. Anyone who wants us to lose ain’t a united fan!!!!!!!
Exactly mate, but unsurprisingly it’s lost on those posters, probably because they are so focussed on themselves and what they want as opposed to, ya know, actually supporting the club through the harder times.I’m sorry but how can you call yourself a supporter if you want the team to lose? It doesn’t matter if you want Ole in or out the team comes first. Anyone who wants us to lose ain’t a united fan!!!!!!!
Yeah, the Rashford criticism has been bugging me. I don't agree at all with the thread about Rashford and Martial being a problem. It's been made not even 2 weeks after Rashford scored a hat trick against the CL semi-finalists, not to mention he's also our top scorer this season by a comfortable margin.I know, he’s been one of our best players so far this season. Mental.
I can understand to an extent Martial causing a few reactions as he’s been largely anonymous.
