If I press to go to "last page" it takes me to page 85. The last post is 3383. However the tab is available for page 86 which shouldn't be available until post 3400.

I don't see a tab for page 86. If anything if there was someone ghosted you'd see less pages - especially if the ghosted poster was first to post on the new page.

A possible explanation is that a number of posts may have been pruned from the thread and the forum hasn't fully finished parsing the changes for all users, hence some people see it and some don't.
I noticed in the 'I want your pics thread' that there are about 5 less posts than there ought to be, the last post is 22730, but when you hover over the last page number it says 22735.
