Or maybe professional managers actually know more about the players and the sport than fans? McT maybe constant being played out of position or in roles that doesn't sync with his skillsets?
The forum has gone to shit the past few years -- people can post that a player is both
completely useless and
played well in the same matchday thread.
Or the amount of 20/20 hindsight visions that goes on.
Anyone who has managed people or things besides vending machines will know that mistakes are always made. You can tell the team what to do but they don't always follow instructions despite constant training routines.
These guys are the 1% of the 1% that actually make it to the very top. It's hard getting there and they are certainly physically different than the rest of us. (Trust me I have played non-football sports with a couple of them. They are just gifted -- supremely coordinated, fast-twitch muscles, smart etc)
Its never black & white when it comes to performance -- both as a player and/or as a manager. I cant relate to them as players but certainly can relate easier as a person who has managed organisations.
There is so much binary level slagging off a United player or assist/manager -- without knowing the facts, inside knowledge or even personal experiences in managing teams or as professional players.
Posters here need to develop some level of self-awareness before slagging off players and managers or at least provide some level of detailed discussion or depth when criticising the players/managers.
The moderators here have an unenviable task of having to read through so much crap over the past few years.
