Yeah, he's a fecking zombie these days.Gary Neville is undead to me again... for the time being.

It's an important step in building an atmosphere against the higher ups at this club. You're right to say it will achieve nothing in of itself but I'd sooner have pundits, journos and fans calling out the terrible state of this club than not.Chances the Glaziers will care?
Zero.
Whilst seats are being filled and sponsorship being signed they will do nothing except count the cash.
Yeah but either way you look at it, it’s a failure by Woodward. He’s the one that's sanctioned all the bad spending that we’re trying to clear. If there was a director of football in place, then he could get the blame. But as it is, Ed is the one in charge. There’s no scenario that Ed Woodward isn’t to blame.Woodward deserves all the criticism in the world. But it's quite ironic to bring this up now. United have been burning money at a record pace ever since SAF retired, yet this year it could be said that the attempts to trim the squad/wage bill left the squad too thin in some areas.
Neville has always been against Woodward. Just wish he could judge our managers as well without blinkers. Finally some pressure from prominent United figures.
Again, I'm not defending Woodward in any way. I just think it's weird that now is the moment where this point is being made.Yeah but either way you look at it, it’s a failure by Woodward. Whatever you think of the Glazers, we are massively underperforming given the outlay.
A lot of that wage bill is sat on the bench at Inter Milan. That was a great buy Ed. Problem we have is that it has been allowed to escalate, so the only thing Manchester United have to offer is money. If they had got the right manager who was good at choosing players in the first place we likely wouldn't be in this mess. The first mistake has dragged the club further and further into the mire. This is why Gary Neville continues to be held in such high-regard. He is far more inutuitive, considered, thorough, and forward-thinking than many, many, many of the other football pundits out there. He has changed the way people consider punditry. He is also, importantly, a leader in terms of providing analysis and comment on issues... he is clear, consistent., and subsequently, speaks with purpose and a degree of authority (whether actual or perceived..).
And I am pleased he has opened this debate. Many will now follow.
I did not realise that we had the second largest wage-bill in the world. That is both a disgrace, and an absolute embarrasment. We have become a 'laughing stock' of a club. Something must change. Must.
Poch will just fail again with no help up above. He has always had help above. We should have a new structure in place for 18 months now building a team.Ed's philosophy has always been to hire some bloke who has a load of trophies. This is the philosophy of someone who knows nothing about the game. Moyes was Fergie's choice but Ed has single-handedly butchered us since then.
Football evolves and changes quickly. The like of Capello, Van Gaal, Martin O'Neil, Wenger were shit-hot yesterday, but beyond dinosaurs today.
The thing is though, that Ed learned on the job and probably has learned from his mistakes by now. Pochettino doesn't want a job till Summer as he is on full pay till then and has an agreement with Levy not to take another PL job till summer. They won't sack Ole now as it becomes cheaper to sack him when top 4 is no longer possible.
This season is a write-off, we need to accept the pain now, realize there's no use sacking Ole unless we know if Naglesmann or Poch want to come in the summer. Hopefully with a new DOF too
He never called for him to be sacked I think. He was highly critical if him for potentially sacking Mourinho last season, but other than that he was skirting around the issue as @2 man midfield pointed out.Neville has always been against Woodward. Just wish he could judge our managers as well without blinkers.
Would never dream of calling for the head of a manager but apparently it’s okay with a club executive.Neville has always been against Woodward. Just wish he could judge our managers as well without blinkers.
