Doesn't he get shoved out on the right by Wenger? He's best as an attacking midfielder played through the middle from what I've seen.
He gets played on the right when we have a fully fit first XI, but when Cazorla is out he gets played in the middle. Both scenarios can be irritating, especially amongst our more excitable fans.

It seems like you have better options than Ramsey in every position that he can play in. I think you might sell him in the summer. He's definitely got some talent though and I remember his run of form in 13/14. Scored a cracker against us.

Almost forgot about ArsenalFanTV, we need more Arsenal meltdowns.

I don't understand Wenger at all, where was Giroud last night? Why didn't Xhaka & Oxlade-Chamberlin start last night as from what I've seen they've not played that much football this season.

In the last 12 seasons Arsenal have entered 4 competitions every year ad only won 2 trophies in that time. That is simply not good enough for a team who as been one of the best teams in the country for every one of those 12 season. Realisitically the only trophy Arsenal will win this season is the FA Cup and Wenger and he'll more than likely not take it seriously enough.

Ramsey has regressed something terrible. Nothing player these days.
Hasn't that always been the case apart from that one magical, iirc 2013/14 season? He's always been bang average in my book, apart from that season when he indeed was on a killing spree.

Yeah and considering all the big celebrity deaths this year his return has been pretty woeful.

Agreed. If I were an Arsenal fan I'd be livid.

I've always found it the case alright but people seem to tell me that he's a good player. My brother is an Arsenal fan and he usually has a good perspective on Arsenal players, but he seems to rate Ramsey for some reason. I don't get it, personally. But he appears to have regressed to absolute dross levels this season.

I think Arsenals season will take a nose dive very soon. They have been running their luck all season and their luck will run out at some point.

Barring a slip from them and resurgence from us, they're about to finish above us for the 4th season in a row

Not to say they're not a good team, they obviously are, but that's embarrassing. United with their prestige and money should be compared to Madrid and Barca, and miles ahead of Arsenal.

Can only hope they have their own fall from grace when Wenger leaves

They do well at finishing 4th but that's about it.

It's the honours list that matters to the fans in many respects and Arsenal including some fans seem very happy with mediocrity.

It's sad.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Very odd squad choice from Wenger last night. It seems almost slightly pompous of him to omit so many key players against another PL team.

Also, as the PL gets more and more evenly spread, money-wise and talent-wise, I think that both the Domestic Cups' worth have gone up.

Winning trophies is crucial for the psychological development of teams, I think. And it's great for fans, that feeling of winning a trophy.

Anyway, what's the deal with Ramsey? Has he done/said something to piss people off?

And as an aside, I'm always a little uncomfortable with the laughing at 'fam', 'blud' etc - this is how working class, British people in many inner city London areas speak, it's like 'mate', or 'pal' to them. Listen to Grime and you hear how these words are interjected into every phrase.

Not really, no. League Cup is still pretty much a worthless trophy for big teams, with few exceptions

True, if the team in question is young and has yet to win anything. This particular arsenal side won the FA Cup twice. Their fans don't much care about the league cup

Wenger has a hard-on for playing him out of position and in ways that expose his weakness instead of maximizing his strenghts, and he's pretty inconsistent as a result. And yet wenger will still pick before anyone else.

Maybe he wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of two additional games in January. That being said it was a winnable game.

Bovvered though.

Perhaps he should try to win some silverware rather than try and pre plan for the other unattainable competitions?

That's a big blow for them, they look significantly better when he's playing. I think Ramsey & Co will have to up their performances a bit if they want to be relatively close to the other top teams at the end of those three months.

For Wales, there probably isn't more than a couple midfielders in the Premiership I'd trade for Ramsey. There are plenty of better midfielders, but in that set up I don't think many could do the role as well as Ramsey does. He has to have the right balance of stamina, ball recovery, ball retention, large passing range, creative final third passing, off the ball movement, goal scoring. It's pretty rare.

For Arsenal though where he's meant to do specific roles as the whole 11 is talented, his shortcomings are a lot more obvious, he's technically inconsistent, rushes everything and can be very wasteful in a side set up to retain the ball and creatively probe for opportunities.

He hasn't got the positional discipline to play in a midfield pivot (I've only seen it work alongside Arteta), but Arsenal can't play a midfield three due to their personnel (mainly Ozil being a better player).

Wenger is out of contract right?

I've seen Eddie Howe been linked. I think that would be similar to us giving Moyes the job. Even though Howe is more talented, I don't think he's done anything to deserve the Arsenal job yet. It has to be Simeone for Arsenal.
I think Simeone is a world class manager but I just can't see him and Arsenal, I always figured that he was a dead cert for Chelsea if he left Athletico.

Reckon we're going to finish ahead of them. I've yet to be impressed by them this season.

Yeah, doesn't seem that happy with Ramsey.

Arsenal fans are such a labile bunch. One moment they're the best team in the league, and the other they're slating everyone asking them to leave.

Interesting this guy crawled back out from under his rock after a rare Arsenal poor result. Have a feeling the frequency of these meltdowns will increase after Arsenal's form/ close victories die out.

I'm sorry but you've become too boring to take seriously anymore.
Your other most recent FF posts:

The bitter in here is delicious. Bunch of moaning crybabies.
Well Ozil was shit according to the Caf until they realised that he wasn't.
I wonder if Bournemouth are still 'game-raising cnuts"
I'm happy that you'll have something for your end of season club DVD.
Getting more like Liverpool every day.
Add spunking big money on mediocrity, managerial merry-go-round, living in the past.

It's all very sad.
Hardly quality content, is it? If anything this reads like what you are accusing @TheReligion of.

His point is valid, as well. Your best chance to win something is a cup, then the league, then the CL. Would going for a domestic cup hurt your title chances? Probably not.

We won the FA cup twice recently, didn't change how opposition fans viewed Arsenal. Instead of 'Arsenal haven't won a trophy in x years' it became 'Arsenal haven't won a major trophy in x years'. I doubt any Arsenal fans are really that concerned about winning the league cup.
