Big Birthday Bash at Brendan's as Rodgers celebrates Birthday (ft. a Steven Gerrard shaped Pinata)
Held at Brendaningham Palace
This is a very happy Birthday for Brendan Rodgers
Brendan Rodgers celebrated his 46th (according to Wikipedia) birthday in style over the weekend. The birthday bash featured music from the Ramones (happy birthday to you, happy birthday to YOU, happy BIRTHDAY Brendy, happy birthday to YOU, go to hell you old b*****d). Birthday gifts were aplenty which included gold frankincense and myrrh from the SPL, a holiday home in Runcorn, a letter from Leicester City saying they want him, Lynx Africa and many more gifts. There were video messages from Jurgen Klopp, Chris Sutton, Luis Suarez, Jamie Carragher, the late Gary Neville, Brendan Rodgers, and many footballing legends (inc. Joe Allen) all wishing him a happy 35/36th birthday.
There were a few fun party games, including Pass the P45, Hide and Go Seek Leicester, Pin the tail on the journalist, Russian Roulette with 3 envelopes, whack the pinata, musical statues ( Dedryck Boyata was very good at that).
The vid's great but I didn't notice Mellor(?) But then, I've forgotten what he looked like. Not gonna lie I was hoping the Neil mellor pic in the Gerrard video would get a green smiley
Pause it on 21/22The vid's great but I didn't notice Mellor(?) But then, I've forgotten what he looked like.

https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sp...on-celtic-brendan-rodgers-manager-vulnerable/The Scottish Sun said:Brendan Rodgers said: “I have been managing over 10 years now and 25 as a coach and it has totally changed. The mentality of players has and that is because society is different."
“Everything is protected and we are in surveillance society where everything is monitored and looked at."
“You see these new iPad and iPhones now where you can actually listen in to hear what someone else is saying . . . who invents that? Some nerd sat in a room . . ."
“The world has changed and football has changed. It used to be that if you got b*******d a number of years back that you wanted to show the manager he was wrong. Now players will crumble and go away. In general you have to adapt to your audience.”
It’s not just in football but also in life; the older generation need to choose its words carefully when talking to the younger one.
As Rodgers puts it, it’s not what you say but how you say it.
He added: “I always think in both life and in football you can tell anyone anything in the world and you can give them the worst news ever, but it is how you tell them it."
“Also, if you continue to beat people with a stick, I don’t know if it always works. I've always been one to dangle the carrot."
