He may have learned to pass yesterday because Hojlund passed it back to him and he scored.

I was surprised that his goal scoring record was that good. 1 in 3 with another 74 assists.

Blessed beyond belief we are. I dunno how we gonna repay him. We can’t so let’s go separate ways and are ready to take the blame about how ungrateful we always were.

Would be lovely to see him get his head up and pass every now and again.

Genius? He's probably the most stupid player in the squad. Decision making is abysmal

It’s a shame that he’s not quite developed as well as his early promise suggested and he’s been a part of crap teams/crap managers, as in different circumstances he might have had a real shot at becoming our all time top goalscorer

We should all be delighted and thankful that he agreed to stay with us and signed that 5 years 350k a week contract to become our star player of the team.

Where will we be without him?

I'm not defending him because some of his performances have been disgusting from just an effort POV, but I still think he's very talented. Talented enough to put up with not only periods of poor form, but periods where it seems like he can't be bothered to show any effort at all? I don't know. I like to hope that he'll get back to his best and give us something to cheer about but maybe that's blind optimism on my part.

If I were to list 10 of the best seasons from an individual players POV since Fergie retired, Rashford would probably take up two slots. It's not saying too much because we haven't had that many great individual seasons to talk about with our players, but still.

Seems like everything on these boards are polarized to the extreme these days. Sad times when there’s such a lack of objectivity - especially with people so entrenched in their views & wanting to be right, they avoid any form of evidence to the contrary. Not aimed at anyone really. Just a general observation.

That's the thing about him -- even when he's poor in general play, generally speaking, he does well from a G/A perspective. Quite similar to Fernandes.

He's an inspiration to all. So much so that even my grandad has started modelling parts of his game on his.

He's not got the ball control down yet but he does track back a little bit more than Marcus. He's also been dead since 2015 but I can't hold that against him.

If things were different and he played in light blue across the city under a different bald genius our fan base, especially the online contingent would be creaming their crackers over him.
Marcus has consistently been our best player and carried this team (along with Bruno) since his debut.
He had one bad season a few years ago where he was playing with multiple injury issues, and personal issues were also affecting his game and certain factions in the support have never forgiven him. Its pathetic.
It’s no wonder if he’s had enough, it’s been constant for years and it’s understandable if it’s ground him down.

Tbf its not as if they get the chance to ever rack up scores.

Generally the goals or assists they get turn out to be decisive in the game situation because we've been such a low scoring club now for the last decade.

127 goals. It’s been as enjoyable to watch as 127 hours was for Aron Ralston

Probably 127 goals from 4000 shots. He’s probably much of the reason why Old Trafford is leaking, the amount of times his shots pummel the roof.

127? His stats show 80 senior goals in 9 years, 259 appearances.
Did you look at the table on his Wikipedia at the top? Must see it every day people not realising that’s only league goals.

He's still better than Garnacho, Martial, Antony or Sancho.

He's actually lucky to have played in this era. Firstly, because we are so mediocre he has been able to play so many games despite probably only being good in about 25% of performances. Secondly, our recruitment is so poor that any attempts to upgrade have been worse than Rashford. Finally, he is lucky that football formations have landed on these wide forward positions. Let's be honest, he doesn't even make the squad in Ferguson's era as he would be useless either as a centre-forward or a wide-midfielder.

And don't forget the racial abuse him and our other black players got from their own fanbase.

Sensible post. Before this season, he had one truly bad campaign. That was also when everyone else was naff. The rest has ranged from good to great, which again in a team that has been consistently inconsistent isn't bad.

This season has been a mess since pre season (for everyone) but his recent goals have shown that he's still clearly a talented player. There's also still a lot to play for with the FA Cup.

He attracted a whole load of additional criticism when he had the audacity to help feed hungry children during lockdown.
