The importance of trophies

Trophies at top level means everything.

For example in another year or 2 who will remember Spurs finishing second back to back? Whereas we will be remembered for winning all available honours apart from the league in the same period.
It was actually Arsenal who finished 2nd after Leicester which only illustrates your point more.


I don't understand people running us down for winning the Europa League. For a club like us that's been pretty mediocre the last 4 years, it was arguably more important to actually win a European competition that if we had crashed out of the group stages/round of 16 of the CL last season.

Doesn't look like trophies are important anymore. Getting knocked out of Champions League competitions is now what the top clubs and fans are hankering for these days. It's quite sad really! :(
