Dont lose too much faith. The new system was introduced because the old way was absoulutly ridiculousI'm beginning to lose faith in the newbie system.
That was not tongue-in-cheek - he was actually linked with them a lot this past month. I think he'll be ready to sign with them if Mou were to sell him.I know you're probably being tongue in cheek but he's too good for Everton.
Nothing, which is precisely what happened. What am I supposed to be looking at?

Erm, Mata's reaction. As this is what the thread is about, no? We have body language experts in this forum, they may be able to have some insight. What am I supposed to be looking at?
It doesn't matter who comes on for him. The sub is to waste time. Mata is the shortest on the pitch. Might not be the best decision on a personal level but from a footballing point of view, it makes complete sense.Because his replacement was going to help in that area?
There's no rules. And even if there are I sure as hell don't set them. I just thought what you said was ridiculously reactionary.Ah sorry, I forgot the rules on here. People who have an opinion get slaghtered. I dont like the guy, didnt want the guy. That's my opinion
Typical MEN journalist am I right?Tweet

Footballers generally take being subbed off when they've been subbed on as a slight though. They always have. It's just one of those things. What's supposed to be humiliating about being subbed to waste time with the win in mind? Stop looking for problems where there aren't any and let the media and other clubs fans make up stories as much as they like. Ridiculous.
To me it looked like Mata was just looking back in order to see how Leicester's set piece turned out?
Agree with these two. Mata did look annoyed but I'm watching a different channel and they went through it (but I couldn't understand the lingo) and Mata wasn't looking in the direction of Mourinho, he was looking the opposite way.Picked up that he looked annoyed but didn't think it was Jose.
Let's not tar all newbies with the same brush. Some of us aren't quite so reactionary...or daft.I'm beginning to lose faith in the newbie system.
I know the intention but it's pointless. It gained no advantage whatsoever. The game played until nearly 95 minutes. The practice of bringing on subs in added time to waste time is probably as old as the practice of subs. Why did he even bring him on in the first place? Just to humiliate him with 1 minute to go?
I agree with this, as long as it was a time wasting tactic. He's a 28 year old man. He can live with being taken off with appropriate tactical reasoning.
(with one fecking minute left, should I add.)
This. /thread.Shortest player on the team being subbed off when everything is going high into the box. Logic.
It didn't waste any time. It was added on. No advantage was gained at all.It doesn't matter who comes on for him. The sub is to waste time. Mata is the shortest on the pitch. Might not be the best decision on a personal level but from a footballing point of view, it makes complete sense.
