Ever since I saw that clip of him with his childhood teacher, I've started to like him more and more. Seems like a genuinely good-hearted and caring person, with a great sense of humour.

Glad he has. She's incredibly irritating. One of those people who will never have enough.

Jill has grown on me. Before I started watching the overlap this past month or so, I had only seen her in I'm a celeb (I saw her play footy for England, too, but I'm talking about seeing her personality) and, even though she won, I didn't really take to her. She was nice but not someone I cared to watch. Now, she's one of my favourite things on this because she gels so well with the others.

I don’t have strong opinions on Aluko one way or the other but having heard the part of the interview the media have reported on, it feel a bit like she’s been stitched up a bit. I’m wondering if he’s listened himself or if he’s reacting to what the headlines have said. In context she’s not really having much of a go ant him, and actually raises some fair points.

She bemoaned the lack of opportunities women get, specifically mentioned men being mindful of the roles they accept, and then directly called out Wright as someone who needs to be "aware" of his position, indirectly accusing him of "dominating" coverage.
Good. The same Eni Aluko who is often employed as a pundit on men’s games, has an issue with Ian wright being a pundit on women’s games. Ian wright, who as we know has been a massive advocate of women’s football and helped to raise viewing figures.
He’s 100% right to tell her where to go.
It's not the same in terms of the dynamics for a female pundit in the men's game as it is for male pundit in the women's game but I agree that it was silly for her to pop at Wright of all people.
Can't say I've really ever spent much time thinking about Eni Aluko but Wright is a very nice man and probably the most high profile advocate of the Women's game in English football.

Eni Aluko couldn't have picked a worse person to name drop tbh, Ian Wright is one of the biggest voices from within the Men's game in advocating in regards to the Women's game. She said that "she couldn't dominate the Men's game in the way the Ian is dominating the Women's game". Ian seemed to start doing more Lionesses matches after the Women's World, but he doesn't cover the WSL on Sky or BBC in fact he has only ever done one match. So it was totally untrue.
Why should Ian accept an apology from her. When it felt like the world was gunning for her when she said 'Richarlison has 19 goals in 40 games, you do the math that's a goal a game', Ian was quick to stand up for her.

What’s the different dynamic? I haven’t watched much women’s football, is it nearly all male pundits? If it is then Aluko would have a point, just a badly executed one by going after Ian wright in particular.

Fantastic episode this, could listen to Gullit all day. The part talking about Cruff, LvG and those monstrous Barca teams was superb.

Totally agree. His knowledge of the game and players was incredible and far better listening to him talk about his views on the game and experiences.

The bit by Gullit about DNA from 10:00 to 13:00 is spot on.
After a trivial one with Littler and the utterly abysmal one with Sol, also didn't they have the ref one in the middle of all these... the guest ones have recovered well with Duncans being solid last week, but yeah agreed with above, Gullit was a brilliant listen, even the regulars barely did any of their usual routine and just allowed him to go. That made a couple of runs go quite quickly!
That very much depends on the guest.
Gullit has always been a great listen. I really enjoyed the level of respect they clearly all have for him. I think a lot of younger fans look at him as a good FIFA character but seeing the way some legends of the game are slightly in awe of Gullit really drills home his stature in the game.
Listening to this weeks episode, I'm awful bored of Keane I have to say.
