Sammy G suspended without pay and sensitivity training. Suspect he'll be back after that, while Havoc will have his rehabilition and be gone from the company

This annoys the absolute piss out of me, I can’t even begin to describe how much I loathe the WWE creative teams lack of go for this guy.

It’s shambolic at this point.
I'd assume its just for an angle, cuz old Bray was shit and while new Bray had shitty parts like the red lighting its still miles better.

Agreed although I think Sammy is extremely lucky this isn’t costing him his job. Think I read somewhere Havoc can’t be fired whilst in Rehab.

Hagar will be next for AEW to deal with - if it’s true he’ll get fired too, he’s not worth the headache.

I could easily see this being the end of NXT:UK. It’s not exactly making them £££.

Joey Ryan is the least surprising news ever.

Really sad few days for Wrestling.

Anybody making false allegations is really making it hard for those who really did experience this.

Though with Sammy G, Sasha's post was very classy

Can't sack a guy for saying "I want to rape her" and then have an actual convicted rapist in an angle somewhere down the road with Jericho.

So does AEW suck then?
I mean does WWE suck for having Vince McMahon, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Randy Orton, Velveteen Dream and Matt Riddle? Each having either beat their wife, been accused of sex with underaged people, rape or saying the N word live on twitch.

Then theres all Jeff Hardy's many DUIs and one of the Usos as well.

If working for the Saudis as a way to pretend Saudi Arabia is a great country in exchange for money is another reason why you suck then most of the main roster would too. Just a couple of people refuse to work those shows, like Daniel Bryan

Sammy said something stupid when he was 22. Rightfully he's suspended and has to take steps to earn a place back again. But at least AEW actually acts. The above from WWE? Either nothing was done or they soon had a championship after. So not only did they not care but they pushed them in spite of it

A lot of whataboutism there. You really do go in hard to defend AEW, when its not required.
Whilst i agree with most points you made, AEW should be held on its own accord not based on WWE (and thats the same with any thing thats being discussed about AEW)

For not firing Sammy? Going by some people's comments certainly, though I don't know if they have changed their stance after Sasha's response. I'd say they've done the right thing, sacking him would be excessive.
This was a fair point.

Agreed that sacking would be excessive but if it was someone lower on the card I'd imagine they would of.

In Sashas response she doesn't say she forgave him either.

So like anyone else with an internet connection?
Clearly not if one wrestler saying something 5 years ago is enough to think a promotion sucks because he's in it. Unless you're a hyprocrite that means boycotting pretty much every wrestling company because they've all got shady stuff and skeletons. Due to AEW being so new its actually probably got the least dirt, I mean this incident happened more than 3 years before the company even existed

Sorry, no, I just meant the product in general. I've heard pretty some disparaging remarks about a number of guys on the roster such as Janella, Cassidy and others just being a bunch of bullied-at-school video game nerds who shouldn't be anywhere near a wrestling ring. Also the show therefore only appeals to a very narrow audience of the same kind of dweebs they have performing.

Also could you break down the WWE names you mentioned and each of the accusations that have levelled against them. I know Stone Cold supposedly assaulted Deborah and I've read recent stories about Velveteen Dream sending sexually explicit photos to underage people. Also was it Vince who was accused of raping a female referee sometime in the 1980s?

Yeah Vince and Rita Chatterton

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_McMahon#Rape_and_harassment_allegations

Also this

https://popculture.com/wwe/news/vince-mcmahon-assault/

As well he also helped to help cover up Ashley Massaro's rape.

She left WWE and wrestling and she died in 2019

Stone Cold

https://ew.com/article/2002/08/14/stone-cold-surrenders-wife-beating-charge/

Velveteen I posted up recently in this thread

Riddle accused of pressuring womens wrestling Candy Cartwright into sexual encounter. She says she tried to say no, but Riddle grabbed her by the throat and said "what if I just made you". She proceeded to give him a BJ to get out of having sex.

Jamie Senegal backs up that Candy and Riddle had an affair and she isnt a stalker like he's suggesting who never had anything going on with her

WWE UK is full of people accused, some suspended for doing worse than Sammy's stupid words many years ago. Millie McKenzie's trainer Travis Banks she accuses him of taking advantage of her at 17 years old and being in an abusive relationship they kept secret.

I remember like 3 years ago there was a woman who was confronting Mick Foley i-r-l bothering him, saying he and a bunch of other wrestlers would have sex with her while she was underaged (timeline Foley would have been in ECW and the others there would be ECW)

As for AEW, there's definitely some of the new stars on the show that wont be everyone's style of wrestling.

Orange Cassidy is a half comedy gimmick but seems quite popular when it comes to ratings and people dressing like him, Darby Allin is another that does quite well with the ratings and people copying his style, he is pretty good but he's small. Janela just does some crazy risk taking bumps so hes just a Jeff Hardy. He isnt pushed though so thats not a problem, he barely wins matches with a singles record of 2-4

MJF is the best heel in wrestling and hes actually a surprisingly good match worker, but hes not the biggest either. Sammy is a great worker but again not that big.

The big guys they added though are really good. Wardlow and Lance Archer are the two best big guys around atm in terms of the quality of matches they're having, although Wardlow has only been seen in a few matches and he may look far more green in up coming matches. Hager and Brodie Lee are pretty generic big guys but both can do some moves. Luchasaurus has some cool kicks but I mean... its a guy dressed as a dinosaur. I'm not going to pretend thats the best big guy around, but for where he is in the card he can do a good job

Big Covid outbreak at WWE. Renee Young has it, Moxley has been around her constantly so probably has it. Apparently its at least 10 people from WWE who have it

Their own fecking fault. Idiots going into a small warehouse in one of the worst hit states.

If they had any balls they'd band together and tell WWE they're not performing. Reigns has told them feck off. Sami has. KO has. At some point it is on the wrestlers to look out for their own welfare because WWE don't care.

I'd wager a load of them just don't care.

If you follow any of the WWE roster on Instagram you’d see that most are a bunch of feck wits out socialising and drinking going out with random folk from the looks of it all the time.

Seems like most of the female roster was out on a boat last week. Hard to say it’s just becuase they do their job when you see how rubbish America is in general with social distancing.

We're no better. How many times have Brits swarmed the beaches this Spring/Summer? And yet again I read that Bournemouth beach is absolutely swarming today.

It’s mobbed and fights are breaking out. My uncle lives 60 seconds from the beach and said it’s chaos

Bad week for AEW in the ratings, good week for NXT. The only good news is they are continuing to build new stars weekly, but while thats true obviously the bigger the audience the more people will see someone as a star.

Was a good show to watch though, the Wardlow Vs Luchasaurus match was a great big athletic guys match and the tag match from FTR and SCU was also great. FTR making a great case for themselves being the best tag team around in recent weeks. Better than the matches I saw of them in NXT vs DIY etc

Tessa Blanchard sacked from Impact.

WWE and AEW currently looking at each other and thinking "We both want her but is the PR headache worth it?"

She'll be at one of them by next year... Probably WWE, where she will have "changed as a person"

What was she fired for? I mean was it for anything new since the last allegations.
Or was it a repeat of the allegations from just before she became champ and theyve resurfaced as part of a bigger thing and Impact deciding to do something now?

Also yeah, WWE are scum. By WWE i mean Vince and all higher ups.
And some of the wrestlers are idiots. I praise people like Roman and Sami. They were made to look like villains who didnt want to work. But the rest of them, they had a chance to do something together as WWE needed them more than they needed WWE but decided against it.
Maybe its easier said than done, but it really would have only taken a few of the 'top guys' to arrange it. (Then again, they probably would have been against it and did a Hogan)

Tessa will end up in AEW and this will all be forgotten about.

WWE wouldn’t touch her.
Said it back in January. She'll be in AEW before the years over.

Cody will 100% sign her.

Sounds like she was fired because she refused to do her job on the way out. Her contract was meant to be expiring anyway.

Where have Roman and Sami been made to look like villains for not working? Roman will be back in the main event when he returns and Sami won the Intercontiental title in his last match. Literally looking for reasons to be mad.
