Punk walking past drew over a smashed windscreen, in London no less, is absolute cinema.

They just doing casual mid 2000's-esque 24 cliffhanger endings now?

Story wise it’s dumb Punk main events. Losing 2 chances back to back and then just gets handed it? Undermines their own rules.

Another show that I come out of thinking why is McIntyre not in one of these main event matches

Also I’m guessing the rumoured return of the all women PPV is pretty much a sorry to them for not getting the night one main event

Playing devil's advocate, in kayfabe neither the rumble (not anymore atleast) nor the elimination chamber gives you a main event opportunity, just the title opportunity.

I did and still do think he could have been put into punk/Seth/Roman in some way shape or form.

Then they shouldn’t make it such a big deal to lose it as missing out on the main event. It’s contradictory, especially when he did nothing to then get it.

I liked when the guy complained that they were fighting on his car and then he got slammed through a table

Surely the favour could now be a one time Brock Lesnar interference? That sounds like a favour.

Can they worm a title match or title shot into it somehow? Winner of the triple threat on night one gets added to Cody/Cena on night two.

Punk always made more sense in every way being in a triple threat with Cody-Cena over the one he's actually in.

Never gave up when losing to Cena in MITB and screwed, and would be the actual main event, for the title. Which is actually everything he genuinely believes in, Main Eventing the biggest Wrestling show fighting for the biggest title.

Not being in a meaningless triple threat in the not really main event that is (probably) Saturday... he tore the Saturday main event to shreds in some promo vs MJF. It's genuinely impossible to book this guy as a face without him looking like a total turnip anymore, let him go heel.

Punk is normally heel? Sorry but I've never seen this. Would be interested to see it but I can't imagine fans jeering him.

Punk hasn't been a heel since like 2013. I'm not sure what you are referring to never seeing either?

It's Punk - he'd have legit zero problem getting the fans to jeer him. He's cemented his return, he doesn't have to continue to overly pander anymore. Problem is, outside of Cody and Jey(lol), they are all towing the line or heel already.

I used to watch during attitude era and have jumped back in during the netflix thing. So I've not really seen Punk outside of a few clips.

Dude was an utter menace. The Mysterio and Hardy stuff is absolute gold. Signing his WWE contract on the ROH belt, the final days of his year long title run when he turned on the Rock.... and well the Nexus stuff that led into the pipebomb (his magnum opus of a promo really) was all technically heel, but not really, still all gold.

Triple H currently on Sunday Brunch. Other guests include Chesney Hawkes and Tony Hadley.

Thanks lads, will take a look. I've seen the pipe bomb and that was dope.

Was going to say the pipe bomb is the obvious one, but the contract situation down with Vince and subsequent match with Cena at MOTB are also gold.

Best thing WWE did between attitude era and the last couple of years for me. They wasted Punk after that

Fecking Kevin Mash and having him lose to Triple Nose. Shocking booking.
