Kohler is great, but while Xavi and Sheva are great players, they're not the ones I would have picked if given the choice. Don't forget Brolin either, who was actually quite good but most will only know as a fattie.

Still, I think it's going to work quite well and I'm satisfied with my team.

Who is in yours? Scirea is the only good pick all along(except Tardelli who was sent to Argentina) but everybody had great defenders. Cocu was alright, far from the best but far from the worst and Rossi is again in the middle.

That doesn't make Cocu a liability, it only makes Viva a runaway winner (not Stobz, who was lucky not to lose his good DoFs but had to live with the challenge of fitting Camoranesi).

And it's not just me arguing your third place, I actually think once I lost Gerrard my only issue is the rigidity of Ljungberg/Raúl. Other managers have had to contend with worse things happening. e.g. crappy getting Mary Poppins, he was far and away the striker I didn't want, or Skizzo getting Solskjaer and Sánchez which pretty much nailed his frontline. Then MJJ/Theon had the relative misfortune of adding Rivaldo to Bochini and Dalglish, which looked a complete nightmare at the time until T-Bola helped out with that.

Losing Tardelli is nowhere near the biggest problem I can imagine, truckloads of competent midfielders knocking about at the time as well, even now.
