Prime Foreman (the seventies version) was a great boxer though. The annihilation he did to Frazier (twice) and Norton (whom on eyes of many beat Ali three times) was a testament to that. When he returned, he obviously lacked speed, but still had fundamentals, the crazy power and somehow had found stamina.
Still think that had he beat Ali (which he should have), he could have easily been remembered as the GOAT heavyweight. Still I would have him quite easily in top 5 (with Ali, Louis, Holmes and Lewis).
Great fight in Japan, Yabuki - Ayala. Another fight of the year candidate after Teraji - Yuri Akui. Small weights from Japan always produce a few of those every year.
I was quite impressed with Pat Brown’s debut; he looks heavy handed and will be difficult to match given his obvious quality.
Yeah same. Got hit a little too much but I'm sure that'll tighten up as he moves through the levels, but heavy hands like you say and good shot selection.
I didn't realise he was 6'6" as well, can't believe looking at him that he's a cruiserweight. I would have guessed looking at him he was 230lbs+. Seems like a move to HW will be inevitable at some stage.
I can see him fighting for the British title quite early; I reckon there will probably be some name domestic cruisers on the slide by the time he’s had 8-10 fights.

Every piece of his training was incredible.
It’s like watching a very fast middleweight with superb footwork, except this guy weighs about 240lbs. I can’t spot a weakness, he’s got it all. He’s already currently the best heavyweight around by quite some distance, generational talent.
He was the best heavyweight ever in that period. Probably the best boxer ever in that period. He was unbeatable for quite a while. The skills, speed and power are off the scale.
Decent fight coming up on Sky with the rematch between Ben Whitaker and Liam Cameron. Unusual for a Sunday night but could be a good in after the clisterfeck last time

Showed his class but also showed his true character and gained a lot more haters than he already had (booed in front of your home crowd - wow). I guess in boxing, it could be a good thing when many are invested in your downfall
I like Ben one of my criticisms before the whole Liam fight was that he was playing around in the ring too much. Boxing is a dangerous sport and the more you increase in competition the higher the intensity from opponents. So his entire debacle with Cameron will be good for his career and his own interpersonal development.
I thought the refs stoppage was slightly premature but the fact Cameron didn't complain likely indicated he was concussed / heavily dazed. Heard many professional fighters state that the overhand right is the most dangerous shot because it takes your equilibrium instantaneously. Think Ruiz caught Joshua with that same punch which ruined him in seconds for the entire fight.
Still has a long way to go, Whittaker has a massive frame for light heavy so he will have to move to cruiser eventually. Difficult difficult fights between Opetaia and Ramirez, way too soon for him but I'd imagine his team / Shalom would eye Badou Jack when he eventually moves beyond domestic level opponents.

He’s going to get hurt real bad soon enough. He’s nowhere near good enough to behave as he does, and unlike other showboaters, has no power to be decisive when he decides to or to even ward off those who are genuine threats. He’s made the rod for his own back, though.
I honestly have no idea how he's got himself in this position. I get the whole Eubank v Benn thing - but even before that he was linked to Barrios and other belt holders in the division despite being nowhere near that level or even competed at that level.
He hasn't even proven himself at British level - and has showed little to no power since returning from his drug episode. I suppose being a loud mouth works somewhat.
He’s an easy cash cow generating interest well above his ability; I think the bigger dogs in the division see him as an easy and lucrative night’s work. He’s got many tuning in praying he gets sparked and promoters will see pound signs in that. It’s also sink or swim for him; if he goes in and beats someone way above his rank he goes straight up into the big boy league.
He’s got one shot at this - not many will care if/when he’s damaged goods after a memeworthy KO.

Just thought that was funny - shows the situation both (Ben Whittaker and Conor Benn) are in where public perception is they are unlikeable and not good enough to have the spotlight they currently have.
With Benn-Eubank though this weekend - Jr has to be the favourite given his experience, size and the level he's been operating at, but I wouldn't be that shocked to see Conor win still. I do think he's a decent operator based on the eye test, and could well be at world level and that we just haven't seen him get the sort of fight to prove it yet.
Decent card overall. Viddal vs Chev Clarke is a cracker, Smith-Mckenna should be a decent scrap even if the latter in particular might end up descending into looking like a pisshead swinging outside 'Spoons at times. Glanton isn't a bad return for CBS and Yarde-Arthur is OK even if it seems a little unnecessary after their 2nd fight.

I think he IS a decent operator, fresh with a good gas tank and maybe is at world level and that we just haven't seen him get the sort of fight to prove it yet.

I think size will be a factor in Eubank vs Benn but the biggest difference is the experience. Eubank Jr has fought high level domestic competition and championship level opponents (BJS). Benn's best is Algieri which was legitimately a good win but taking into account his failings with the banned substance it's hard to assess his optimum level.
He could potentially be dangerous if he's still explosive but I think Eubank will keep his distance and fight in spurts.
