This sounds remarkably similar to a test my Dad had to take for a Dementia diagnosis.
Can't help but feel like they basically matched Soviet behaviour during the Cold War (hyper patriotism, military parades, etc) and now they just basically come across as North Korea but capitalist.

Yeah, did a basic cognitive impairment test have anything to do with a random hospital visit is my question.
I haven’t heard that question being asked. Is it due to his age and therefore a standard thing? If not why is he being asked to do that test?
I think it's a harmless sop test with his ages.

Thats because its probably the only test he has ever aced before, on his own at least or without external help.
My old man had to do one when we took him to a specialist because he had obvious cognitive decline.

Yeah, I am seeing tweets with people saying doctors don't just randomly prescribe the test unless they are suspecting cognitive decline.
It actually baffles me how in this day and age a society can be so insular, terrified of absolutely everything and utterly brainwashed.
He took an unscheduled hospital visit late last year. They released a statement that said it was apparently routine, but common speculation is he had a stroke or some other issue and the test was done then to make sure he hadn't gone further into decline.
Allegedly he asked the doctor for the test, with the justification that his sanity was being questioned. Allegedly.
Normally I'd assume this test is only given when cognitive changes are suspected but hard to say when it is an old US President who is a little unusual.
