Premiering Friday, August 31.
Looks good, loved the books so will definitely give it a try.
That's not Jack Ryan, that's Jim Halpert!
Looks good though, assuming you can buy him in that role. Plus Wendell Pierce is awesome in everything he does.
I'm just imaging this being one big elaborate prank he's pulling on Dwight
FFS now I'm gonna spend the whole first season waiting for Dwight to appear
I reckon he'll be as good as Chris Pine.....
I thought he did the serious role really good in A Quiet Place so I'm hoping he can do it here. High hopes for this.
In Netflix today. Saw the pilot. Decent but underwhelming. They need to put more details into the screenplay and script. And move ahead quicker to give us a cliffhanger on the overarching plot.
Thought he was a pretty bland Ryan to be fair. The pilot was OK at best.
Story is a bit slow paced and action choreography needs lots of improvement, but show picks up as it goes and plot becomes more interesting. Good climax.
Overall a good addition to action genre TV shows.
Looking forward to next season.
He was in another movie not long ago and has adapted well to serious roles.
He will forever be known as Jim Halpert though.
It's not on netflix, it's amazon.
Sorry, all mixed in my TV.
Should be well suited books to make a tv show out of.
Meh, uninteresting run of the mill stuff.
Why is Mary Poppins married to a CIA agent?
Shite. Not sure why it was even made.
It was very very average. 24 already did this kind of stuff much better so it is even outdated. The writers also seemed to lose interest half way into the series since the final stretch is just a complete retread of so many tropes and abandons character arc of the villain completly.
What the feck was the point of that drone guy really?
To whitewash drone operations of US army.
Feck. I was so longing forward to the series but after the reviews here and other sites, it just took the air out of the ballon.
I guess I can watch it with the attitude of low expectations, dull and unimaginative and enjoy it more.
it's still very watchable for what it is, just probably not as good as everyone was hoping.
If you don't care about any sort of reality, then it's probably pretty decent. The first episode was extremely unrealistic.
A convoy of vehicles attacks a cia black site, stocked with sf/so. I mean, really? They wouldn't be able to get within 20km without being blown to the moon
It was decent. The number of episodes made me happy too. Just wish they focused more on Jack Ryan at times.
Its what I was expecting so had fun with it.
I really enjoyed it.
I have binged eps 2-5 today.
It‘s not a great series by any means, but it is decent for wasting some time. I certainly didn‘t get the disappointing reviews that this isn‘t as good as Homeland, give me Jack Ryan over that garbage any day of the week
It's not too bad. Decent entertainment. Main actor seems to only have one facial expression though.
Damn shame that Amazon have plugged so much money into promoting this when they've got a much better show on their books (Patriot) that nobody knows about. Idiots.
Thanks for the advice
Will check it out
this is just not good. the acting is fine but the writing is very bad and i also hate jim halpert and want him to die
Put this on in the background. The way it's filmed and the way they've edited the colours looks like Hollyoaks.
It's not terrible - as someone who lives in the Middle East I found a lot of it to be quite amusing. It's basically 24 though.
Can you be more specific? Honestly curious given i've not been to the Middle East.
Greer was the only character I liked. Wendell Pierce is great.
How is the general quality of amazon shows ?
They are making Wheel of Time .... I hope they don't ruin it ....
Patriot is great and I liked Goliath.
But I loved Hand of God. Some good shows many not so, mixed bag really.
