Think the times predicted to be out are possibly the time it takes to get back to training. Then need to get up fitness and form again which is why it takes longer!

It's just based on what Sir Alex said yesterday after the game.

Yes but Steve Bartram works for Manutd.com I believe, so it's great news.

Another from twitter from MUTV stewartgardner - Tom Cleverley has ligament damage but thankfully no fracture. SAF says he will be out for 4 weeks #mufc

Could have been a lot worse. I'm delighted for the team and for Tom himself. Looked very pissed off on the bench but he'll be back in the team in no time at all.

Bear in mind that United these days always over-estimate how long someone will be out. Happened with Rio last season and others. It gives the player something to aim for and keeps pressure from United and the player from coming back to quickly and making the injury worse!

That's very good news. Four weeks is nothing in the larger scheme of things.

Cleverley's already had an introduction to the first team and we have Carrick, Fletcher and Giggs to contest the places in his absence.

Could have him back ready for around the game at Anfield or 3rd CL match.

Just ligament damage. If United say it's 4 weeks then he'll be back in 2.

So happy :D

He always looks pissed off though.

4 weeks seems a very long time if there's no fracture, I expect to see him back in 2.

SAF has learnt from permacrock Hargreaves that it's better to give the worst case scenario to the press regarding injuries...

ligament's can be more complicated than breaks.

Who would have thought we'd be sweating over a Tom Cleverley injury a few weeks into the new season. Says a lot about his rapid rise into the XI.

Four weeks sounds so much better than a broken foot. Get well Tom!
