"Necessarily" being the key word there
Virtually nothing is knowable with certainty, so we take past performances and then apply context and our own insights to make predictions.
If we'd beaten someone like Bournemouth, Newcastle or Villa, I would have been far more optimistic.
Rangers, let's face it...appalling. Steaua...let's face it...appalling. Southampton...on course to be the worst-ever PL team.
All of these games were too close for comfort, although Steaua admittedly ended up being fairly comfortable.
Brighton dominated us. That's my biggest concern. When we dominate a decent team, win or lose, then I'll start to trust this team a little.
Putting away really weak opponents in an unconvincing manner or valiant draws vs strong opponents in a low/middle block setup doesn't convince me that we can suddenly go on some kind of run.
Bear in-mind, we play Palace at the weekend...lose that, which we easily, easily could do based on Southampton and Rangers...and suddenly it's doom and gloom again. We have a terrible recent record vs Spurs...Everton away with Moyes in charge...not easy. OK, we should beat Ipswich...but they're better than Southampton and Rangers!
When you concede so many goals from set-pieces, you can basically lose any game to any team.
I have a feeling that juicer is in the bag personally.
