This. Same players I would choose.

Says a lot that three of the five are Ole signings, I think that’s been the big positive under Ole, better recruitment and getting rid of the mercenaries.
Of course Ole haters won’t give him any credit for it though.

In order of importance of position
AWB
Pogba
Herrera (real shame we let him go for free. Has to be the most monumental feckup of our board since Ed took over.) He'd be doing a wonderful job for us right now)
Maguire
Martial

Honourable mention: Dan James

Obviously very soon for the last 3, but they are in for immediate and long term impact IMO. I think they will be important players for a long time, especially the defenders (James might settle into more a squad role but cant fault a single thing so far). All 3 are exactly the type we needed for a while, tick pretty much every box and I'm not worried about them at all. Leaving out Pogba because I think he's leaving soon enough, so overall his stay here will not have been worth it and he would not have been a good signing (changes if he stays). But a record signing like Pogba you expect more than what he has done, and you don't expect them to leave soon after.

1. Zlatan - free transfer, had huge impact on others, man united mentality, what a shame he didnt came eralier, he would be cantona 2.0 which he would not favour :D as he is always n1
2. Pogba- huge sum, but still amazing footballer if right conditions
3. Martial - only one of LVG brought players still in club (as lvg said shaw wasnt his transfer)
4. Only One Bisaka - amazing natural defender, will get better
5. James - bargain in todays market, right mentality, would only improve from now
extra. Romero - experienced top keeper for free

Judge oles signings in 1-2 years, not 10 games into the season.

Why?

10 games are more than enough to assess a players' ability and whether he is a good fit for the club.

All three of Ole's signings tick both of those boxes.

There are some players that can be mentioned as okay signings but not a success story.

Pogba
Zlatan
Lukaku
Shaw
Herrera

We have recruited 20 Plus players and i struggled to choose even 5. That's how bad was the recruitment - which is the root cause of the problem - not Ole.

Shaw's been next to useless, I'd struggle to put him in the top 10.

Ibrahimovic
Pogba
Herrera
Blind
Romero

Too early to judge our 3 summer signings, James and Wan-Bissaka may be in my list if their form continues.

1. Romero (a little boring, but he's the only one I can't say anything negative about - delivered extremely well as a nr. 2)
2. Herrera
3. Ibra
4. AWB
5. Martial

3. James
4. Maguire

Pogba is obviously our "best" player when on form, but i struggle to put it down as a good signing since we let him go for free, then resigned him for a lot of money, and there has been a lot of drama around him and now he is openly flirting with other clubs. If he gets sold this summer, hes been a shite signing

All of Bailly, Darmain Di Maria where fantastic over the first few months. It’s hard to see how successful players will be in the first few months.

Though the 3 signings have all been good so far which is promising

Funny enough that’s what I’m trying to ask most impatient fans to do... Good signings is the one positive sign of recovery we’ve seen for a LONG time.

I don’t care who the manager is, whoever does have the job must get recruitment spot on this time around, so far so good on that front.

The recruitment has been so bad there aren't many players who you can quote. All have all had weaknesses to a certain degree. I am struggling to name even 5 players. However, in terms of talent or value for money, my picks are as follows:

Pogba
Ibra
Martial
Romero
Blind

James, AvB, Maguire have looked quality in their short careers.

In no particular order:
Martial
Zlatan
Herrera
Blind
Romero

AWB, Maguire and James too early to tell for me. All three could end up in my top five after the season.

Pogba
AWB
Martial
Ibra
Maguire

I'll just pretend to be able to see into the future and predict that Maguire and AWB will deliver stellar seasons, which will qualify them for this list.

HM: Romery, for being an oak when De Gea wasn't feeling it.
