He should move, and probably will. But i really doubt him coming to United. I wouldnt be surprised if he waits a year and goes to Milan.
Why does anyone think he favours Milan, he's made it quite clear before that he preferred the English game to the Italian, which part of that do you not understand?

I doubt it, and im not sure i want it to happen. Would be great if we we had all the money in the world, but we dont. To spend 25 million, maybe even more on a striker, who isnt the best finisher, to replace the best finisher in the world, is a bit of a risk. Especially with a midfield like ours.Mainoldo said:

Listen we have a rubbish midfield. Absolutely rubbish. Upfront we're still alright. Remember we werent missing Ruud much for half of last season because Saha was excellent. If we spend 25 million on Torres, and lets not kid ourselves, we dont bargain well and he is pure quality, so it shouldnt be any less. How much do you think our 'tranfer budget' is?? Getting a quality midfielder isnt going to cost less than 15 million either. And if we are to get those two midfielders we need, AND Torres, we would have to spend around 50 million plus. He was excellent last season. Was scoring for fun until the differences with Fergie or our favourate diver. Even came off the bench to score a few later on. His dip in form is overhyped. Holland were crap in the Wc, not that Ruud played exceptionally well, but they barely created anything. Scholes lost form, Giggs has lost form plenty of times, suddenly with Ruud it means he's FINISHED!!savais said:

On the pitch, his body language was all wrong. His movement was all wrong. (Even professional pundits have commented on this - so it's not just to the untrained eye) He didn't take too well to being substituted and did not respond in a professional manner. Who knows what else happened off the playing pitch. What do you think is going to change this season - so that he regains his form of 2-3 seasons ago.

Maybe. It would be great to see all of this happening, the 10 from Mikel and 15 from Ruud going straight back into transfers. Giving us an additional 25 to spend on just a striker, that being Torres. And the normal budget used to improve the midfield.WesBrownIsaGod said:

Lots of people claim he's finished as a striker. One in this very thread thinks he's on the same level as Sheringham today. I said he's probably the best finisher around, and thats probably still true. I didnt say its wrong to sell him, so stop picking on little things and making it an issue.Red17 said:

Just 1 - against Bolton, after Saha started to feature regularly in his place, which was after the Liverpool FA Cup lost. During this period - he scored only 1 other time, against West Ham, where he featured for the full 90 mins.
Taking the Liverpool FA Cup game as the critical event, when he became "disillusioned/disinterested" when Saha featured more regularly in his spot, his stats are these:-
Up till the Liverpool FA Cup game: 138 minutes per goal
Subsequently: 218 minutes per goal (almost a full game extra).
So we now have both stats and naked eye observation to back up what some of us has claimed about his form.
By the way - when I write this - I do not mean to trivialise Ruud (I have the utmost respect for his striking abilities and what he's achieved for United) but just to set the facts/records straight.
